Bridgerton season 4 begins filming (Plus check out the new cast members!)
As a seasoned Bridgerton enthusiast who has binge-watched all three seasons multiple times, I can confidently say that the anticipation for season 4 is reaching fever pitch! With filming officially underway and new cast members joining the fray, it’s like Christmas came early. The chemistry between Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Lady in Silver (Yerin Ha) is already palpable, and I can hardly contain my excitement to see their love story unfold.
Although we’re regretfully expecting to see Bridgerton’s fourth season premiere in 2026, I’m thrilled about the tidbits of information that are being shared about the upcoming season! Netflix is gradually revealing details, and it’s definitely generating a lot of excitement and buzz among us fans.
Previously mentioned, the fourth installment of the series will at last reveal Benedict Bridgerton’s romantic tale, starring Luke Thompson in the role. His Lady in Silver, Sophie Baek, will be played by Yerin Ha. It’s evident that their on-screen chemistry is strong and I can hardly wait!
With the recent release of these fresh photos, it’s been confirmed that filming for Bridgerton‘s fourth season has officially started! The production team is hard at work, and they’ve also brought on some exciting new cast members who are certain to enrich the narrative. Below you’ll find details about the three new characters as shared in a press release by Netflix.
Katie Leung portrays Lady Araminta Gun, a woman who has been twice married and twice widowed. This season, she has two daughters entering the marriage market, and she is under immense pressure to marry off at least one of them. She is known for being fabulous, discerning, and blunt, and she does not react favorably when her position in society is challenged by anyone or anything.
Michelle Mao portrays the character of Rosamund Li as follows: Charming, self-centered, and eager to win her mother’s approval, Rosamund is Araminta’s oldest child and most valued asset. This season, Rosamund has set her heart on winning Benedict Bridgerton and will stop at nothing to achieve her goal.
Isabella Wei portrays the role of Posy Li: Rosamund’s younger sister, who is known for her kindness, is making her debut this year. However, her mother tends to overlook Posy as her chatty and overly friendly nature often leads her to blunder, putting her foot in her mouth.
It appears that Sophie may face tough rivalry from Rosamund Li, given how dedicated she seems to be in capturing Benedict’s affection. After all, with his good looks, charm, and kind nature, who wouldn’t want a piece of him? Araminta Gun, Rosamund’s mother, also comes across as a determined woman, making her an intriguing addition to the story. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds!
In addition to announcing that Emma Naomi and Hugh Sachs will be permanent cast members, the streamer revealed their characters Alice Mondrich and Brimsley respectively, in the upcoming season of Bridgerton. Frankly, I found Alice’s storyline rather tedious during season 3. Despite my fondness for these characters, they seem to add little to the overall narrative at this point. It’s unfortunate, but perhaps we can expect more engaging plotlines for them in the new season. However, only time will tell.
It seems that the third season of the show may have faltered by spreading focus among too many characters rather than primarily Penelope and Colin. Here’s hoping the series rectifies this error in the future. I’m delighted to see Sachs join the main cast now. Maybe we’ll uncover more about Brimsely and Reynolds’ past through the prequel series, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
