Brid: Silent Track Analysis – Should You Pull?

Hi, Brid!

Overview

  • High DPS B2 SG with bonus effects vs Fire-weak enemies.
  • Simple, but effective kit.
  • Highest 10s ATK buff on a 20s cooldown currently.
  • Scales well with standard SG teammates Tove and Drake, giving her lots of ATK and Attack Speed, stats she loves a lot, especially with S2.
  • Good wave clear thanks to S1 activating any time and taking all buffs into account.
  • Lack of Damage Taken debuffs outside of Wind enemies limits her usability outside of Fire-weak situations for SG team.
  • Her buffing purely ATK makes her work best with DPS units that lack self-ATK buffing, which remains rare for now.

Should You Pull?

Brid: Silent Track differs from Diesel: Winter Sweets in that she’s much more focused in her strengths. She deals significant damage (DPS) primarily when supported by buffs from Tove (Treasure) and Drake (Treasure). These buffs provide the increased attack speed needed to activate her Skill 2 frequently, and the attack power she needs since she doesn’t boost her own attack during her Burst.

Okay, so I’m a big fan, but honestly, she really shines only when fighting enemies weak to Fire. That’s when she adds a damage boost that’s super helpful. Otherwise, she just gives more attack power, and our main shotgun characters already provide plenty of that! If that damage boost worked on any enemy, she’d be amazing for the whole team because she can really dish out the damage.

Beyond teams focused on shotgun weapons, xBrid works best by boosting Attackers who don’t already significantly increase their own attack power. However, this isn’t a typical setup. Most Attackers already have ways to buff their own attack, either through their skills, a special state, or passively. Because of this, they generally benefit more from buffers who provide other types of damage boosts instead.

Okay, so this Nikke does a ton of damage, but she’s a Fire unit, and honestly, Fire already has a ton of strong DPS characters. There are so many good options for dealing damage in Fire already. While xBrid will probably be amazing in raids with the right team, most of us probably won’t need her to clear raids, you know? I mean, we’re already covered in that department.

Overall, she’s a strong character, but not essential right now. She can deal a lot of damage with the right team, and future updates might make her even better. However, there are already many powerful Fire-type damage dealers available, so you can probably skip her for now. She might be more valuable when she’s available again next year.

Newbie/Incomplete Box Section

Brid: Silent Track is a strong Fire-type attacker who focuses on dealing damage, with a helpful supportive buff. She’s particularly effective against Wind enemies due to her debuffs. When paired with Tove and Drake, her damage output is exceptional. Even without their buffs, Brid remains a top-tier damage dealer against enemies weak to Fire. Her ability to increase damage taken by enemies, combined with her own high damage, makes her a valuable asset to any team.

While her support abilities are decent, her buff isn’t as strong as some other options. It’s a good buff, but when used with characters that aren’t fighting enemies weak to fire, it doesn’t boost damage as much as other support characters. Most damage dealers already have ways to increase their own attack power, and other supports offer additional benefits or stronger multipliers, making them generally more effective choices.

xBrid is most effective against enemies weak to Fire, and currently performs best when paired with a shotgun team. Her ability to reduce damage taken from her Skills 1 and 2 only helps when fighting Wind enemies, giving her no special benefit in battles where enemy elements don’t matter.

Skill 1: Ignition Sequence

When Full Burst is activated, this ability increases damage taken by Wind-aligned enemies by 15.12% for 10 seconds. It also deals 636% of the user’s final Attack stat as damage to all enemies.

Okay, so as a huge fan, here’s how Full Burst works: when I activate it, any enemies that use Wind Code instantly get a debuff that makes them take extra damage. It’s a fantastic way to really punish those types of enemies!

This attack hits all enemies, no matter their elemental type, with a screen-clearing effect. It happens automatically when Brid enters Full Burst, even if she hasn’t used her Burst ability yet. Because it triggers on entering Full Burst, it can also benefit from any buffs that activate at that time.

Skill 2: Journey Ahead

This skill activates after 10 normal attacks, targeting the enemy with the lowest HP and increasing the damage they take by 12.12% for 10 seconds. It also activates after 5 normal attacks, hitting the enemy with the lowest HP for damage equal to 675% of your final attack power.

Every ten normal attacks, Brid will apply a damage vulnerability to a Wind-type enemy. This doesn’t happen if there are no Wind-type enemies. When combined with her Skill 1, this can increase the damage taken by a single Wind-type enemy by 27.24% – a significant bonus for minimal effort. However, this only works on Wind-type enemies, limiting her usefulness against others.

This debuff consistently applies to bosses, lasting for ten seconds each time. Even without the ToveT skill, a shotgun can fire ten standard shots in approximately 6.66 seconds, repeatedly applying the debuff because the debuff duration exceeds the time between attacks.

Every five attacks, Brid unleashes a powerful burst of damage against the enemy with the least health. This attack works on any enemy, not just those weak to Wind, making her effective in all types of combat. It’s her primary way of dealing significant damage to bosses.

Okay, so normally, Brid fires this attack about every 3.3 seconds. But if Tove maxes out her speed buff – that S2 skill – it gets way faster, like around every 2.35 seconds, as long as I don’t have to reload. That’s what makes her a total beast when Tove’s supporting her. The fast attack speed combined with the shotgun’s already strong normal attacks? Seriously powerful damage. Right now, I think she’s the best Fire damage dealer you can get on a shotgun team.

Burst:

Affects all allies (except self).
ATK ▲ 66.52% of caster’s ATK for 10 sec.

Brid provides a significant attack boost to all allies except herself. Currently, it’s the strongest attack buff available for Nikkes, with a 20-second cooldown. Strangely, Brid doesn’t receive this buff when she uses her Burst skill. This seems like an odd limitation, possibly because the developers didn’t want to launch too many powerful units at the same time.

Brid benefits greatly from characters that significantly increase her attack power. This is easily achieved in “shotgun” teams, where characters like ToveT and DrakeT consistently provide large attack boosts. However, because these teams already offer so much attack power, Brid’s own attack-boosting ability isn’t as effective. If Brid isn’t needed as the main damage dealer in a shotgun team, other support characters who offer different benefits might be more useful.

Because many B3 Attackers constantly increase their own attack power – either all the time, when starting their ultimate ability, or while using it – Brid’s attack buff isn’t very effective. Currently, B2 support characters offer more diverse ways to significantly boost damage, working better with the self-applied attack buffs that most Attackers already have.

Her attack boost works best with characters who don’t already have significant attack buffs, or have none at all. Right now, there aren’t many units like that – only Mihara: Bonding Chain, Liberalio (after a few seconds), and xDiesel really fit the bill. We might see more options later, or a powerful attack-boosting character in the first slot could let xBrid work with more common team setups.

Campaign

She’s useful in campaign mode for quickly clearing waves of enemies, even without using her ultimate ability. Her attacks from Skills 1 and 2 work on any enemy type. When she does use her ultimate, it clears the entire screen, and this effect can be boosted by buffs that trigger when entering Full Burst. This allows her to deal extra damage alongside other screen-clearing abilities, or act as the primary wave clearer while your main damage dealer finishes off weakened enemies, with help from Skill 2.

This unit can be used as a primary damage dealer or as a secondary attacker. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Unlike many other damage-focused units, it doesn’t have any abilities that directly increase its own damage. This means its skills will become less effective over time unless supported by strong allies who provide significant damage boosts – units like Liter might be essential for maintaining high damage output in challenging situations.

Also, she falls into the ‘Supporter’ unit type. Supporters naturally have around 80% of the attack power of ‘Attacker’ units. This means standard attack boosts won’t work as well on her, and her damage will decrease faster as her power level gets lower. I think she’ll perform best when her power is reduced by 30% or less, which is surprisingly good.

Arena

Brid shows promise in player-versus-player combat. Her shotgun is effective, and she has two powerful attacks – one triggers every five hits, and another when she enters Full Burst. Importantly, these attacks don’t require being in the middle of a burst, letting her use buffs that benefit her team or provide utility. She can also quickly defeat wind-type enemies by applying damage-increasing debuffs. However, her shotgun’s standard reload means her burst generation is fairly typical, and additional ways to build burst would be helpful for the whole team.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

xBrid is expected to be a strong damage dealer (DPS) in raids where enemies are weak to fire. While other characters might have higher damage multipliers with support, xBrid can compensate with sheer damage output when properly equipped and supported, especially against fire-weak enemies.

While she performs well against enemies weak to Fire, her damage output drops off otherwise. Because she doesn’t offer much extra damage boost, other characters are generally preferred for shotgun teams. These alternatives provide more ways to increase damage, with options like Grave, Ade: Agent Bunny (bAde), Blanc + Noir, and Tia + Naga when using Soda: Twinkling Bunny (bSoda), among others.

Generally, it’s more effective to boost the damage of your main damage dealers by giving them an elemental advantage as support. xBrid doesn’t do this well enough, especially since ToveT and DrakeT already offer a lot of attack power. Plus, xBrid lacks a damage taken debuff to further increase DPS and doesn’t have the raw damage output to compensate for the loss when not fighting fire-weak enemies with a shotgun team.

She excels as a high-damage Fire attacker, and can also boost the power of shotgun-focused teams. When facing bosses weak to Fire, she should be your primary damage dealer, even though her B2 slot might suggest otherwise.

While she still deals good damage outside of a shotgun team, her current buff isn’t particularly impactful compared to the significant damage boosts provided by a dedicated shotgun team. Although it’s a substantial attack buff with a 20-second cooldown – one of the largest we’ve seen in a while – it mainly helps characters who don’t already have ways to increase their own attack power, and those characters are uncommon.

Her attack boost might be useful with characters who don’t rely on their own attack buffs, but we’ll need more testing to confirm. Even if it works well, relatively few characters will benefit from this boost as much as they would from other similar support options.

Strengths

  • Great DPS, especially when buffed by ToveT
  • Damage Taken debuff in conjunction with caster ATK buff against Wind-enemies will hurt a lot.
  • High Caster ATK to provide to DPS units
  • A screenwipe every Full Burst time can contribute to wave clear in normal maps.
  • S2 procs frequently enough outside of shotgun team, and is amazing DPS within the shotgun team.

Weaknesses

  • Most DPS units don’t make great use of Caster ATK buffs by themselves, when so many of them already give themselves so much ATK as a self-buff.
  • B2 is home to many other sources of better multipliers for the majority of DPS (i.e. Attack Damage and its derivatives, Core Damage from Naga) making it difficult to justify using xBrid if she’s not going to deal a lot of damage.
  • Damage Taken is only against Wind, resulting in lower potential vs element neutral content.
  • Shotgun team doesn’t need any more ATK buffers with both Tove and Drake present, making her burst buff diluted. She does not have the personal DPS to make up for it if better buffers are available for the SG DPS units against other elements.
  • Doesn’t benefit from her own buff on Burst, meaning she needs her own ATK buffer to help her personal DPS; Shotgun team usually has this covered, but outside of it, there’s few options like Liter.

Recommended Cubes

bastion cube,resilience cube

She’s a main damage dealer who benefits greatly from either the Resilience or Bastion mod. It’s best to choose whichever one is leveled up higher for a bigger damage boost, as both work well. With a shotgun, her quick 1.5-second reload is significantly improved by Resilience, bringing it down to almost a second. Bastion, on the other hand, helps her keep ammo flowing during continuous fire, which is when she deals the most damage.

Doll Priority

Shotguns significantly boost a character’s attack power, making them a top priority for Brid. Brid relies heavily on attacking, and these shotguns increase her damage output and ability to support her teammates.

S1 < S2Skill 1 is a nice chunk of Burst Damage when entering Full Burst, and a damage taken debuff to add up with S2. Can be leveled up more if you plan on using her in campaign.

Skill 2 is where the bulk of her personal DPS comes from against bosses, regardless of the team composition she’s used in. While the damage taken debuff on S1 is higher compared to S2’s, both scale poorly with skill levels anyway, so damage is the biggest reason to go for more S2 levels.

Burst provides allies with a very nice caster ATK buff, one of the biggest for a 20s CD unit. It’s honestly such a shame Brid can’t benefit from her own buff, though.
