Brian Cox’s best horror movie is now available to watch on Netflix
As a seasoned gamer with a knack for horror movies, I must say that the recent addition of “The Autopsy of Jane Doe” to Netflix is music to my ears! This chilling tale, boasting an impressive 86% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, has been patiently waiting in the shadows, and now it’s time for me to dive into its terrifying depths.
Brian Cox horror movie The Autopsy of Jane Doe has become available to watch on Netflix.
The movie, initially premiered in 2016, boasts a remarkable 86% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Over the weekend, Netflix made the movie accessible on their platform, making it viewable for users residing in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
“The Examination of Jane Doe”: This narrative revolves around a duo of coroners, one being the star from “Succession” and another from “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, played by Emile Hirsch. They undertake an autopsy on an unknown woman’s body, and soon encounter strange, supernatural occurrences.
Upon its debut, the film by director André Øvredal garnered significant acclaim. TimeOut referred to it as a “thrilling, engaging small-scale chiller,” while TheWrap described it as a “superior horror movie compared to many others in its genre.”
After that, Cox gained even more popularity by appearing on the HBO show “Succession,” which recently concluded its run following four successful seasons.
In May, the actor shared that he particularly liked a dramatic scene from the series, reminiscing about an intense exchange between character Logan Roy, his kids Kendall, Shiv, Roman, and Connor.
In an interview with The Starting Line Podcast, Cox shared that his favorite line from the entire show is when he tells the children, “I care for you deeply, yet you’re not sincere individuals.” What he meant was that they weren’t being serious, as the story revolves around greed and avarice – topics that were not part of his conversation with them.
“Logan was a self-made individual who had a strong, no-nonsense demeanor. Interestingly enough, what could have been his greatest asset – his love for his kids – paradoxically became his vulnerability.”
“If he weren’t so deeply attached to his children, life might have been less complicated… He adores his children, it’s just that he views them as damaged or troubled.”
In the upcoming animated “Lord of the Rings” film titled “The War of the Rohirrim,” Cox is set to lend his voice to the character of King Helm Hammerhand of Rohan, making a notable appearance in both sight and sound.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is streaming now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
