Brian Cadd Hospitalized After Sudden Stroke!
Legendary Australian rocker Brian Cadd has been hospitalised after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke.
Yesterday, I took to social media to share some updates about my legendary country-rock family member, now 78 years young. In the message, we provided insights into his current health status.
Last Friday, our beloved Brian experienced a hemorrhagic stroke while he was at his home in the Gold Coast.
Thankfully, he got prompt medical care at the Gold Coast University Hospital where he’s being attended to now.
They added that Cadd was recovering and his prognosis was looking good.
His condition is steady, and his healthcare providers are keeping a close eye on his improvement. Although the journey may be prolonged, there are already promising, initial indications of recovery.
We’ll share updates on his progress with you all, but during this crucial period, your understanding and respect for our need for privacy would be greatly appreciated.
‘Sending love and best wishes,’ one person wrote.
‘All the best for a speedy recovery,’ a second added.
In the year 2018, Brian received the honor of becoming an Officer within the Order of Australia, a distinction awarded for his notable contributions to the realm of performing arts.
The star seemed surprised by the recognition, expressing to The Herald Sun, “This isn’t something a musician typically anticipates receiving.
During the lively ’60s, Brian showcased his talents with two highly esteemed Australian groups: The Groop and Axiom.
Or, for a more conversational tone:
Back in the groovy ’60s, Brian played with not one but two of Australia’s favorite bands – The Groop and Axiom.
In the years that followed, he embarked on his professional journey in America, becoming part of the renowned group The Flying Burrito Brothers.

Following several years spent in the U.S., he not only achieved success backstage but also wrote a popular tune that was performed by The Pointer Sisters.
In the mid-1970s, Brian penned the song “Love Is Like A Rolling Stone,” which became a top-two hit on the U.S. charts for the three-member R&B group.
He then started a record label and became the first person to sign Tina Arena.
He was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in July 2007.
