Brett Finch’s ex Elli Johnston welcomes her first child with former boxer Liam Hillen

The daughter of renowned sports figure Wayne Johnston, Elli Johnston, recently became a mother for the first time alongside ex-boxing champion Liam Hillen.

On Wednesday, the elated pair announced the arrival of their new family member by sharing a collection of joyful photos and the exciting news in a combined update.

In a self-taken photo, radiant Elli is pictured holding her newly born son on her lap in the hospital, while her overjoyed partner, Liam, stands beside them, smiling broadly.

‘Hunter Hillen, 9.6.25. Our son is perfect,’ they shared in the post.

Additionally, they added a captivating monochrome snapshot featuring their baby swaddled in a blanket and nestled among a plush giraffe toy.

Elli already shares ones older child, daughter Mackenzie, with ex-husband Brett Finch.

They had announced earlier in February that they would be posting on Instagram, accompanied by a collection of photos captured at Snapper Rocks in Queensland.

In the prominent pose, Elli displayed her sun-kissed and well-defined figure in a sleek black two-piece swimsuit, subtly highlighting her expanding belly by standing profile.

A good-looking pair found themselves in the shallow waters of the sea, as Liam tenderly held her belly and admired his beloved with affection.

In May 2023, she revealed that she was in a new relationship, having parted ways with her ex-husband, the disgraced former NRL player Brett Finch.

In a different phrasing, her initial post showcased her with her latest partner, as they reveled in a winter vacation, accompanied by the revealing caption, ‘What revitalizes you.’

In January 2018, Elli tied the knot with her former NRL player husband, Brett Finch, in Melbourne. Together, they have a daughter named Mackenzie.

The mum recently celebrated her five-year-old daughter starting primary school.

In the same manner, it seems like no time has passed, but there she is off to school, as Elli penned beside a heartwarming video capturing Mackenzie’s initial steps towards school.

Macky, I’m incredibly proud of you! I can hardly wait to see you flourish,” the loving mom concluded her post.

In 2013, Johnston – who is the daughter of legendary Australian Footballer Wayne Johnston and a star player for Carlton AFL – encountered Finch.

In the year 2023, they parted ways five years after, with the separation occurring several months following Finch’s conviction for distributing abusive content involving children online.

Ellie stood by him throughout his trial before the pair parted ways. 

Finch narrowly avoided a jail term.  

The athlete has spoken publicly about his past problems with alcohol and drugs.

Once highly sought-after for his public speaking engagements, earning money while backing numerous charitable causes, he is now left with nothing.

‘I understand why no one wants to come near me,’ Finch said.
