Thrilled doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about stepping into such an esteemed character, following in the footsteps of the legendary Deborah Kerr – it’s a gamer’s dream come true!” said I, eagerly looking forward to the adventure ahead.

Playing the formidable character of Emma Harte, as a devoted fan of Barbara Taylor Bradford’s work, this is not an opportunity to be missed.

For me, it would be a dream come true to join the cast of “A Woman of Substance” and take on the role Emma plays in the story. Reynolds made this statement.

I am absolutely thrilled about the talented individuals who make up our team and cast for this project. I can hardly wait to translate the captivating scripts and this remarkable literary work into a visual experience on the screen.

The actors Emmett J Scanlan (“MobLand”), Lydia Leonard (“Gentleman Jack”), Sophie Bould (“Call the Midwife”), Leanne Best and Will Mellor (“Line of Duty”) are linked to the roles of Adam Fairley, Olivia Wainwright, Elizabeth Harte, Adele Fairley, and Jack Harte respectively.

Apart from the Doctor Who character, Lenny Rush is joined by actors Ewan Horrocks, Harry Cadby, Niall Wright, Robert Wilfort, Toby Regbo, Hiftu Quasem, and Georgina Sadler in this production.

The eight-part series was written by The Buccaneers writers Katherine Jakeways and Roanne Bardsley.

According to Rebecca Holdsworth, the channel 4’s commissioning editor for drama, the ability to assemble such a talented group of actors highlights the outstanding quality of the scripts written by Katherine and Roanne.

We can’t wait to air a brand-new, daring interpretation of a well-known novel on Channel 4!
