Brawl Stars teams up with Taika Waititi to introduce its 101st brawler, Najia

  • Brawl Stars has teamed with director Taika Waititi for a new animated feature
  • Waititi provides writing credit for the new trailer introducing Najia
  • The trailer shows off Najia’s puzzle flavour and adventures in Pyramid Quest

Brawl Stars has a large and growing number of playable characters, but fans always get most excited about new additions – especially when a popular director is involved in their creation!

Taika Waititi, known for directing films like Jojo Rabbit and Thor: Ragnarok (and co-directing What We Do in the Shadows), is creating the first animated trailer to introduce fans to Najia. The trailer gives a glimpse into the new character and her role in Starr Park’s long-standing Pyramid Quest attraction.

This brawler is a great fit for players who enjoy strategic gameplay and controlling the battlefield, much like Najia. Her primary attack, Sssnake Delivery, deals damage over time with poison, and her super, Danger Noodles, creates trails of poison across the arena using her snakes.

Riddle me this

Whatever your opinion on Taika Waititi, the man’s directing and writing style probably fits Brawl Stars and its humorous tone more than epic fantasy. And Najia is certainly going to be a welcome addition to our
Brawl Stars tier list
for those who like controlling the battlefield.

This suggests Supercell is focusing on creative partnerships, going beyond simply adding popular brands to the game. The fact that Taika Waititi isn’t directly featured makes the collaboration feel more natural within the Brawl Stars universe.
