Starr Nova is the newest Brawler in Brawl Stars, joining the game as the 103rd character! She was revealed during the April 2026 Brawl Talk and is now available through the Brawler Release Event. Starr Nova is a Mythic rarity Brawler currently available through the Brawler Event. After the event ends on May 31, 2026, she’ll be obtainable on the Starr Road using Credits.

To unlock her, you’ll need 14 Brawler Boxes. You can earn a Starr Nova Box for every 2 wins in the Brawler Event. During the event, you’ll immediately receive 12 tickets, plus 2 tickets each day, for a total of 30 tickets. You’ll also get 3 free Boxes. Plus, you can test her out for free in Mirror Matches.

Starr Nova’s Attack: Nova Hair, Go!

Starr Nova can launch two bursts of bright, sparkling energy from her hair, dealing a decent amount of damage.

Starr Nova’s Super: Nova Crystal, Transform!

Using the Nova Crystal allows you to transform and enter Super mode! In this form, you can dash forward, become Starr Nova’s most powerful state, and wield the Nova Sword. While Super mode is active, you’ll move faster and regain health when you attack. Plus, your basic attack will change its appearance.

Tips for using Starr Nova’s Super

Know when to transform: During your Super, you become very strong, so you shouldn’t waste it just to escape unless you are in a very tricky situation. You should mainly use it when the enemy Brawlers are already low or grouped to take full advantage of your Nova Sword.
Stay aggressive while healing: Since you can recover health by dealing damage, you should keep attacking enemies instead of backing away too soon. Her Super is great for applying pressure on enemies.

Gadgets

Floaty Time

With Floaty Time, you can activate a device that creates an anti-gravity zone, allowing your teammates to float within it. This ability recharges every 20 seconds.

Shining Starr of Friendship and Justice

The Shining Starr gadget lets you launch an energy ball that both hurts enemies and restores 1600 health to your allies. You can even teleport the energy ball before it strikes! It has a 20-second cooldown between uses.

Star Powers

Power Level: Maximum!

You can significantly boost your Sword Form damage simply by hitting enemies.

Mystical Starr Technique

When using the Mystical Starr Technique, your main attack also restores health to your teammates, healing them for 30% of the damage dealt.

Best Game Modes for Starr Nova

Starr Nova seems like a really well-rounded Brawler – she can do a lot of different things well. She’s good at attacking from a distance, healing both herself and her teammates, moving quickly, and her Super ability is especially strong, making her useful in many game modes. Here’s what I think are her best modes:

Gem Grab: I think Starr Nova will perform well in Gem Grab, since you can constantly create pressure as an Assassin, all while supporting your allies. Once you transform, you can push aggressively into the center to either collect the Gems or take them from enemy Brawlers.
Knockout: Since she has a good range and sustain, you can try her in slower, more careful game modes like Knockout. You can use the Shining Starr of Friendship and Justice gadget to target enemies and heal teammates at the same time.

Best Brawler Combination with Starr Nova

Starr Nova is already a really flexible Brawler, and she can be even more effective with a good team. She works well with aggressive players who use Brawlers like Mortis, Kenji, or Edgar, because her healing and support can keep them alive longer and help your team take down opponents.
