Brawl Stars Pearl Guide: Attacks

Pearl’s Passive/Traits

Pearl possesses an exceptional ability to accumulate heat gradually, amplifying the harm she inflicts. It’s crucial to maintain a balance between her offensive and defensive capabilities since she also dissipates heat when launching attacks or using her special move.

Pearl’s Attack: Hot Cookies

As a gamer, I’d say: “Pearl’s primary attack is Hot Cookies, where she shoots out six cookies in a wide, sweeping volley from left to right. These cookies can travel up to nine tiles, and they reload at a normal pace of 1.5 seconds. The damage each cookie deals depends on how much heat Pearl has charged.

As she gets hotter, she inflicts greater damage. Furthermore, each cookie hit gives Pearl an overcharge of approximately 6.5%, implying it takes around 16 hits for Pearl to fully charge her super ability.

Pearl’s Super: Let Out Some Steam

Pearl’s super is titled “Release the Pressure“, which disperses all accumulated heat with an explosion, causing damage to surrounding enemies and destroying obstacles in its path. The explosion generates a shockwave following a delay of 0.5 seconds. This super has a relatively small range of just 3.33 tiles, but it inflicts extremely high damage that can easily eliminate many brawlers.

In simpler terms, each time Pearl uses her super, it gets charged at a rate of 38.75% per enemy hit. This allows her to quickly recharge her super if she hits multiple foes with it. However, using the super also empties her heat bar, lowering her overall damage until she refills it again.

Tips for using Pearl’s Super

  • Use in close-range fights: Pearl’s Super has a very short range but deals massive damage, so it’s most effective if you use it for close-quarter fights. You can use it for surprise attacks or as a last resort if you are cornered.
  • Time it to eliminate multiple Brawlers: You can time your Super to wipe out various enemies with its massive damage. You can especially go for this in modes like Heist or Hot Zone, where enemies tend to group.

Brawl Stars Pearl Guide: Pearl’s Skillset

Star Powers

Heat Retention

The initial ability is named “Heat Retention“, which reduces the decrease of the “heat meter” by 50% when activating her special move. This implies that Pearl can preserve a portion of her heat and damage following the use of her super, rather than losing it completely.

Heat Shield

In simpler terms, the second ability of this character, known as Heat Shield, activates when her heat gauge reaches over 80%. This protective barrier helps reduce the amount of damage she receives. Consequently, Pearl can endure more attacks while simultaneously increasing her heat and damage.

Gadget

Overcooked

Her initial device, named Overcooked, enables her to launch fiery cookies as her subsequent attack at the opponent, inflicting an additional 520 damage over a span of 3 seconds. There is a cooling-off period of 15 seconds for this device.

Made With Love

In simpler terms, her second device, affectionately named “Made With Love,” facilitates healing for her allies during her next assault. It grants a healing effect of 1400 points over a duration of 3 seconds, bypassing enemy defenses. However, there is a cooldown period of 11 seconds before it can be used again.

Hypercharge: Pyrolitic

The hypercharge is named Pyrolitic, which amplifies her superpower, “Unleash Steam,” by creating a scorched region on the ground for several moments.

This scorching zone inflicts continuous damage on any adversary who walks onto it for the upcoming 5-second period. It’s a potent device for managing areas and hindering enemy movement because it not only causes damage but also amplifies her speed and shield strength.

Best Game Modes for Pearl

Best Brawler Combination with Pearl

Pearl is versatile as she excels in both offensive and defensive roles, and her utility makes her a powerful choice. However, to truly unlock her potential, it’s essential to harmonize her abilities with other Brawlers. Gene works particularly well with Pearl, as his Super draws enemies towards her, and he also has healing capabilities.

Ollie and Buster are robust tanks that complement Pearl effectively, making the team sturdier. Poco is another suitable option as he works well with tank-centric teams and offers healing, enabling a more aggressive playstyle. Additionally, Finx could also be an asset for your team.

Best Gears for Pearl in Brawl Stars

In Brawl Stars, Pearl has the ability to enhance her performance by adding various equipment pieces that improve her stats and skills. Here’s a list of top-performing gear items for Pearl across various game modes:

1. Gem Grab: Gear A (Boosts health points) and Gear B (Increases attack speed).
2. Heist: Gear C (Enhances gems collection rate) and Gear D (Boosts damage output against structures).
3. Bounty: Gear E (Improves movement speed) and Gear F (Amplifies bounty points earned per kill).
4. Showdown: Gear G (Increases health regeneration rate) and Gear H (Enhances the range of her Super ability).

Damage Gear

For optimal performance in each game, consider arming Pearl with the “Damage Enhancer”. This device increases your ability to inflict damage by an additional 15% on your opponents when Pearl’s health drops below 50%.

Shield Gear

Pearl’s Super range is quite limited, making it essential to be nearby for maximum damage impact. In such close quarters, the Defensive Equipment proves beneficial, offering an additional 900 points of Health as a temporary shield. Notably, this shield also recharges in just 10 short minutes when your health is fully restored.
