New Brawler: Mico
Mico the monkey managed an escape from his zoo enclosure and found himself in the world of Brawl Stars. This energetic and mischievous character loves to play tricks on his adversaries, often with a dash of humor. His quick wit and agility make it challenging for opponents to keep up with him, but beware, he has relatively low health, so carelessness can lead to his swift defeat.
He is of Mythic Brawler status. His mic boom serves not just for communication, but also as a formidable weapon; he uses it to launch himself into the air, making quite an impactful landing. Additionally, he’s particularly skillful at screeching, leaping, and snatching ammo from his adversaries.

Brawl Stars Mico Guide: Attacks
Mico’s Attack: Mic Boom
Mico’s primary attack is called Mic Boom, a simple yet fun maneuver. He charges forward and slams into the ground, causing harm to anything nearby. Initially dealing 1090 damage at level 1, it rises to an impressive 2180 by level 11.

In the skies, Mico enjoys an unbreakable shield against most types of harm, except for status conditions and persistent damage. His attack reach might be limited, but he makes up for it with exceptionally swift movement, enabling him to rapidly close distances and catch foes off guard. Moreover, each attack he delivers powers up his Super, a potent skillset.
Mico’s Super: Out of Frame
In the game, Mico’s Super ability is referred to as being “Off-Screen,” offering a potent and distinctive attack method. Instead of having direct control over him, players influence a marker visible on the map. During this time, Mico levitates, rendering him invulnerable for approximately six seconds.

For the duration, the focus point expands, causing massive destruction when it lands, affecting anything within its vicinity and pushing them away too. Importantly, the Fighter restores health and reloads ammunition when soaring in the sky.
Tips for using Mico’s Super
- Use the Super to reset and reposition: Since Mico goes airborne and becomes untouchable for six seconds while using the Super, it becomes a great tool to escape clutch situations. If you are very low on health or need to reposition for any objectives, it is very useful as you can heal and reload while being airborne.
- Time and aim your descent for more impact: You should use Mico’s Super properly as it can deal a lot of damage and also knocks back enemies in the target’s radius. You should aim for enemy clusters or any key targets like Support or Marksman Brawlers. You can also push back enemies in modes like Hot Zones.
Brawl Stars Mico Guide: Mico’s skillset
Micco boasts two distinctive devices and possesses two abilities that significantly boost his performance.
Gadget
Clipping Scream

The first device he possesses is called “Triple Blast“, which enables you to discharge three distant missiles all at once, with a slight scatter. These missiles inflict 272 points of damage and slow down the closest adversaries for about two seconds upon impact. It recharges after every 15 seconds.
Presto

His second device, named Presto, extends the reach of your subsequent attack by an impressive 34%, granting you greater tactical options when facing off against adversaries. However, it requires a brief cooling-off period of 14 seconds between uses.
Star Power
Monkey Business

In a simpler and more conversational way: His initial ability is called Monkey Business. When activated, every five seconds, this power boosts his attacks to take an ammo bar from each opponent he hits, simultaneously refilling his own ammunition. However, if the enemy doesn’t have any ammo left, he won’t receive any extra ammo.
Record Smash

As a gamer, when I unleash my second special ability, “Record Smash”, it amplifies the harm I inflict on non-Brawler entities. That includes tough nuts like turrets, helpful porters, grumpy bears, and clone adversaries.
Hypercharge

His special ability, known as “Audio Amplification”, temporarily incapacitates foes immediately following a landing. Enemies are rendered immobile for 1.5 seconds upon impact, and he gains a 20% increase in speed along with a shield enhancement.
Best Game Modes for Mico
Micco excels as a flexible Brawler, capable of adapting to various scenarios and game types, making full use of his tools and special abilities. Known for his speed and agility, this Brawler can swiftly navigate the map, inflicting harm on opponents with each attack. Here are Micco’s top-performing game modes:
Micco is a versatile Brawler, adept at adjusting to diverse situations and game settings, leveraging his Gadgets and Star Power. He boasts quick movement speed and agility, allowing him to dart across the map and strike foes with his attack. Below are Micco’s preferred game modes:
- Solo and Duo Showdown: Mico excels in both Solo and Duo Showdown modes, with high pick rates and win rates. His ability to jump with his basic attack, combined with his Monkey Business Star Power, which lets you steal ammo and gain extra jump, makes him a great choice in these modes.
- Gem Grab: Again, his primary Attack is very effective in Gem Grab, allowing you to collect gems with ease. If you are holding a lot of gems, his Super provides a crucial escape option and also heals you. Moreover, you can use it to target enemy Brawlers carrying the most gems, turning the tide.
- Knockout: Mico is a great pick in Knockout mode, especially thanks to his Super. Moreover, if you can unlock his Hypercharge, he becomes even more valuable, as it allows you to stun enemies.
- Heist: Mico also shines in Heist mode, as you can use his Super to mark the enemy safe and deal significant damage to it. His mobility allows you to be a constant threat, whether jumping around, pressuring enemies, or escaping when needed.
Best Brawlers Combination with Mico
Micco is a lively and thrilling character to fight with, yet he comes with certain limitations such as restricted range, low damage output, and a sluggish Supercharge. To maximize his potential, it’s crucial to team him up with Brawlers who can support his gameplay style. Ollie or Shade are fantastic options for an offensive team setup.
Mico gains advantage from characters such as Juju, Grom, and Dynamike, who aid in efficient jumping and swiftly defeating enemies with low health. For a teammate that supports Mico’s gameplay style, Mr. P is an excellent pick. At the moment, Stu is proving effective and can work harmoniously with Mico.
Best Gears for Mico in Brawl Stars
Damage Gear

For Mico, the Damage Gear is incredibly beneficial since it boosts your damage output by 15% whenever your health dips below 50%. This feature proves particularly useful in securing quicker eliminations, especially during high-risk maneuvers or when facing tough, tanky Brawlers.
Health Gear

In a nutshell, Mico’s frequent jumping maneuvers can lead to precarious positions. That’s why it’s wise to opt for the “Health Booster” equipment. This gear not only amplifies your healing capabilities by 50%, but also expedites your recovery process, enabling you to jump back into the fray promptly.
