With the March 2025 update, Brawl Stars has made some adjustments to its current Ranked Mode, incorporating the Bounty game mode and expanding the number of maps for each game by one. This move is a direct response to feedback from the community, as they’ve been expressing concerns about the Brawl Hockey mode, which continues to be included in the rotation.

Brawl Stars have addressed community concerns and have made changes to the Ranked Pool

The Brawl Stars team recently used X (previously Twitter) to share updates on the Ranked Pool changes, which were prompted by fans’ discontent, particularly about the rotation in Brawl Hockey. I admire how swiftly Brawl Stars responds to fan feedback, as demonstrated earlier with the compensation for the Pizza Planet Event and the adjustments made to Buzz.

In our latest update, we’ve introduced a new game mode called BOUNTY into the Ranked playlist and expanded the number of maps for each mode from 3 to 4. While Brawl Hockey remains part of the mix, we expect that the extra maps and addition of Bounty will make it appear less frequently (for more variety in gameplay).

In response, they’ve introduced a new game mode called “Bounty” and boosted the number of maps for each mode from three to four. By doing this, they aim that the inclusion of additional maps and the Bounty mode will decrease the occurrence of “Brawl Hockey,” which still remains in the selection.

Supporters are happy about this change made by Brawl Stars, but a few are advocating for either completely eliminating the Brawl Hockey mode or decreasing its frequency at higher levels, much like how they manage modifiers.

I’m glad for this update too, because the 3v3 Brawl Hockey was making it difficult for me to advance in rankings. You might want to explore the updates made to the Ranked system, which have been reworked for a clearer understanding and easier ranking progression, allowing you to fully benefit from them.
