Brawl Stars Jae-Yong: Best Build & Abilities Overview

Among all the Brawlers, none puts in more effort or plays tougher than the latest Mythic Brawler, Jae-yong. By day, he’s a typical office worker, but when the sun goes down, he transforms into a performer on the karaoke stage – though his talent in that area is sometimes doubted by those who hear him.

Jae-yong functions as a backup brawler, boasting skills that aid in healing allies, boosting teammates’ strength during combat, and dealing substantial damage on the battlefield. This versatility makes him an excellent foundation for any team-based game mode like Gem Grab or Heist.

Getting proficient with a Brawler involves first grasping their skills, followed by creating a setup that maximizes their effectiveness.

Main Attack & Super

Jae-yong stands out as he effortlessly transitions between a professional, work-focused state and a lively party mood. Such versatility may affect the way he approaches his main actions.

In both game modes, Jae-yong launches sharp missiles directly. In Work Mode, his main attack causes less harm, yet these missiles generate slipstreams which can provide a speed increase for Jae-yong and his allies.

In Jae-yong’s party style, his attacks inflict greater harm, yet the projectiles he sends out also restore health to his teammates as they cross their path.

His Super allows him to toggle between Work and Social settings. In these modes, he receives small enhancements. Transitioning to the Work setting momentarily increases the movement speed of his teammates in close proximity, whereas transitioning to the Social setting restores the health of his nearby teammates.

Gadgets & Star Powers

Jae-yong has two Gadgets and Star Powers. He has no Hypercharge at the moment.

His Gadgets are as follows:

Time for a Slow SongJae-yong slows enemies around him, and his attacks will leave trails of slowing paperwork for 5 seconds
Weekend WarriorDeals area damage and increases main attack damage for 5 seconds

His Star Powers are as follows:

IconStar PowerDescription
Extra High NoteMain Attacks now deal an additional 20% Damage per target pierced.
The Crowd Goes MildBeing near teammates gives Jae-yong a 10% speed boost per teammate in range

As usual, Gadgets cost 1,000 Coins while Star Powers cost 2,000 Coins.

Best Build for Jae-Yong in Brawl Stars

Jae-yong might specialize as a Support Brawler, yet he’s capable of dishing out reasonable damage too. An optimal setup should emphasize these abilities, boosting his offensive prowess and addressing the usual battle ineffectiveness that many Supports often face.

That said, the best build for Jae-yong is:

  • Gear: Weekend Warrior
  • Star Power: Extra High Note
  • Gears: Damage and Shield

We selected the “Weekend Warrior Gadget” since it harmonizes well with Jae-yong’s Party Mode. Its immediate area damage and five-second damage enhancement will allow him to inflict greater damage during one-on-one battles or various combat scenarios.

The powerful star effect, “Super High Note Boost,” was selected, as it amplifies Jae-yong’s main attack damage by 20% for each target that is penetrated.

Ultimately, we suggest opting for the Damage and Defensive Gears. This setup, geared towards dealing more damage, the Damage Gear increases Jae-yong’s ability to deal higher damage as his health drops below 50%. On the other hand, the Defensive Gear provides extra HP to offset his relatively low maximum health capacity.
