Many players may not know that a version of Brawl Stars is also available in Chinese, published by Tencent Games. If you’re interested in trying it, this article provides instructions on how to download and play.

Brawl Stars became an instant hit following its release in China

Brawl Stars became available in China on June 9, 2020, almost two years after its worldwide release. It quickly became popular, earning an impressive $17 million in its first week. After Supercell’s partnership with Beijing Lexiang Ark Game Technology Co Ltd ended, Tencent Games began publishing the game in China.

Similar to other games made by Supercell, the basic way you play Brawl Stars is the same in both the Chinese and international versions, with only small adjustments. You’ll find a few differences in things like the in-game store, how characters move, and the visual details. Notably, players in the Chinese version tend to receive a bit more in rewards than those in the global version.

Currently, the game is only available to download on Android as an installable .apk file.

How to download the Brawl Stars Chinese version for Android (APK)

Here are the steps to download the game on Android.

  • Brawl Stars can be downloaded via the Haoyou Kuaidao app store. To do so, you will need the App Client if you prefer using the store page. You can download the client from the link next to the Haoyou Kuaidao logo.
  • Head to the Haoyou Kuaidao app store to get the Chinese Version of the game and search for Brawl Stars. You can check the store page here.
  • On the store page, you can see the Download option. Click on it.
  • If you’re using the website, a QR code will pop up. You’ll need to scan it using the client app to download the game, after which the download will begin automatically.
  • Once you install the game, you’ll be prompted with an option to link or bind your account using your QQ or WeChat account.
  • Log in and start Brawling!
