Brawl Stars Controller Tier List (March 2025): All Controller Brawlers, Ranked

As a devoted fan, I’d say I’m all about the Controller type in Brawler Class! These characters excel at managing or commanding zones on the map. They’ve got a knack for unleashing potent Area-of-Effect (AoE) attacks that can dish out damage across vast expanses.

On paper, they perform well against opponents who find themselves in disadvantaged positions on the map. Controllers excel at mid-range to long-range skirmishes, but may struggle slightly in close combat against quicker characters like Assassins or Damage Dealers. Generally speaking, we believe they shine brightest in game modes such as Hot Zone and Gem Grab.

At present, there are 18 Controller Brawlers within the game Brawl Stars. Each one has a distinct collection of abilities, along with their own set of strengths and weaknesses. To assist you in determining which ones are top-notch and which might be less effective, we’ve organized them all into a tier list for your convenience.

All Controller Brawlers in Brawl Stars, Ranked

In our ranking system, we start with the S-tier, which features the top-notch Brawlers currently excelling in Brawl Stars. Conversely, those in the F-tier are the least effective Brawlers in the game. Essentially, the strength of the Brawlers decreases as you progress from the highest to the lowest tier.

In our evaluation, we’ve assessed each Controller based on several crucial aspects. Primarily, we looked at the potency of their area-of-effect abilities, their proficiency in managing crowds, and their adaptability within the current game metagame. Additionally, we took into account their stats like their Health Points (HP) and attack power.

That said, here is our tier list ranking all the Controller Brawlers in Brawl Stars:

Best Controllers in Brawl Stars

The best Controllers in Brawl Stars are Finx, Meeple, and Mr. P.

In a relatively short span since its introduction, Finx has risen to become one of the game’s most favored characters and a select few with an exceptionally high victory rate. What sets him apart is his Super ability, which enables temporal manipulation within a certain zone for a brief period. With both his Gadgets and Star Powers activated, he can either accelerate friendly projectiles or decelerate enemy ones. This makes Finx ideal for managing contentious zones.

Meeple excels at controlling and shaping his surroundings, making him an effective Controller. His special ability empowers him and his teammates to fire through terrain, while his “Meeple’s Mansions” device can trap and injure foes within a limited space.

To sum up, Mr. P is a fighter who’s been gaining popularity in the current game environment. His surge is largely attributed to his primary attack and Super ability. Notably, his main attack functions like a long-range artillery shell, easily clearing obstacles to damage opponents from a distance. Moreover, when activated, his Super creates a base that generates robotic penguins, which chase after and assault enemies.

Worst Controllers in Brawl Stars

From our rankings, it appears that currently, there isn’t a single ‘bad’ Controller in Brawl Stars. Instead, they all show remarkable ability to carry out their roles effectively.

In our opinion, we’d select Gene. Examining his skills, it appears that he aligns more with the role of a Damage Dealer instead of a Controller within the class system. Consequently, he seems somewhat misplaced in this Group.
