Brawl Stars Brawl Talk shows new Brawler & Stranger Things event

A recent Brawl Stars update announcement revealed a brand new Brawler, a fun collaboration with Stranger Things, and a lot of other exciting changes! These include fresh game modes, updated Super abilities, and many helpful improvements to make the game even better. Let’s get straight into the details!

Brawl Stars To Add new Brawler, Game Modes, & Stranger Things Skin – Brawl Talk

Brawl Stars is teaming up with the popular Netflix show Stranger Things, bringing characters and looks from the series into the game. They’re also introducing a brand new game mode called Upside Showdown, which is a rogue-lite experience.

Upside Showdown is a game mode where you complete rounds, earning upgrades to make your brawler stronger. At the start of each stage, you get to choose one upgrade – things like increased health or faster supercharge speed. It’s important to pick upgrades that best suit your brawler and help cover their weaknesses.

Each round pits you against other players, and your goal is to finish in the top four to advance. Successfully reaching the top four unlocks a new upgrade, and you can earn up to five upgrades total. If you don’t place in the top four, your game ends. Winning all five rounds gets you trophies and waffles!

You earn waffles by completing runs, and you can spend them on cards that help you in future runs. These cards offer a range of improvements, like faster reloading, stronger attacks, and other helpful boosts.

The new season also introduces Boss Battles, where players can earn extra rewards by defeating increasingly difficult bosses. Each battle gets harder than the last, providing a greater challenge.

New Brawler Gigi – Brawl Stars Brawl Talk

The latest Brawl Stars update revealed a new character named Gigi. She’s a close-combat fighter who attacks similarly to Jacky and Doug, but instead of a quick hit, her attack spins for several seconds, continuously damaging enemies caught within it. While spinning, Gigi also moves faster.

She can quickly move around the map using her Super ability to teleport directly to opponents. She powers up her Super by dodging attacks, and can then briefly recharge it to return to where she began, damaging enemies as she does so.

Similar to how Ziggy was released, players will be able to obtain Gigi through Gigi Boxes. Although it might be challenging, this gives players a potential opportunity to unlock her for free.

New Hypercharges & Hypercharge Stat Changes – Brawl Stars Brawl Talk

Starting now, when Brawlers activate Hypercharge, they’ll get a 5% boost to their damage, a 5% stronger shield, and move 20% faster.

Furthermore, Supercell is adding the following new Hypercharges to Brawl Stars:

  • Pam (Mama’s Love) – Turret heals on deployment, and heals more beyond a brawler’s max health
  • Alli (Swamp Snacking) – Heals 20% of health & deals max & of health damage
  • Mina (Triplecane) – Fires three hurricanes which can bounce
  • Ziggy (The Grand Vortex) – Super returns to him after reaching max destination
