Brawl Stars Brawl Pass update brings major changes, Keys, Vault, Price adjustments, and more

Story Highlights

  • The Brawl Pass now offers 10 extra tiers, new items, and better value, though its price has risen to $8.99 for the normal pass and $12.99 for Brawl Pass Plus.
  • Keys are new items that open the Brawl Pass Vault, letting you grab Resources, Skins, Brawlers, and Buffies via 4 different types of Keys.
  • The team’s goal is to make it more valuable, offer more progression freedom, improve monetization, and more.

Brawl Stars is updating the Brawl Pass again, following recent improvements to free-to-play rewards in July. This update affects both the free and paid tracks, adds new Keys and a Vault, adjusts the price of the Brawl Pass and Brawl Pass Plus, and includes other changes. Let’s take a closer look!

Brawl Stars Brawl Pass December 2025 Changes

Okay, so Brawl Stars really stepped up their game with the Brawl Pass! They weren’t content with just giving free-to-play players more goodies, so they’ve overhauled the whole system. We’re getting ten extra tiers to grind through, plus a bunch of new items. It feels like you’ll get way more value overall, but it’s gonna cost a little more. The standard pass is now $8.99, and if you want the Pass Plus with all the extras, it’s $12.99.

You have until January to purchase items at the current price and even save some for later, as prices will change then. I’m especially pleased that Titles and Chroma Skins will now be included in the regular pass, and that each season will feature 2 Brawl Pass Skins and Chromas.

Free Tracks, Brawl Pass, and Brawl Pass Plus Changes

The game is increasing rewards on Free Tracks! You’ll now get an extra 1000 coins and a resource key that can be traded for 2000 powerpoints – the equivalent of a Buffie. There are also added benefits like Chaos Drops, Extra Bling, and Credits.

The new Brawl Pass lets you earn Titles, Skins, and their color variations just like before. Plus, you now have more control over how you improve your account with new Resources, Skin Keys, and Brawler Keys.

Finally, we’re adding more Keys to the Brawl Pass Plus. This will give you enough to unlock both Brawl Pass skins and all their Chromas, starting in January. As a bonus, you’ll also receive 50 extra Gems with your Brawl Pass Plus after this update.

Brawl Stars New Brawl Pass Item: Keys

This update introduces a new feature called Keys that allows you to unlock rewards in the Brawl Pass Vault. It seems this was inspired by similar features in Call of Duty: Mobile. The Vault contains valuable items like Resources, Skins, and Brawlers, as well as Buffies. There are four different types of Keys, each used to unlock a specific category of rewards.

Each offer in the vault costs 1 Key, with the exception of Vintage Skin Sets, which cost 2 Keys. These sets are likely to be very popular! I think this Key system is a great idea because it lets us choose how we want to progress – whether we focus on Buffies or Skins – and we can even save Keys to get a skin from a past Battle Pass.

Just to clarify, new Brawl Pass skins will only cost 1 Key, which is half the price of skins from last season (which cost 2 Keys). Also, skins coming with the January 2024 Starrforce season, and any regular skins that aren’t part of a collaboration, will be found in the Skin Vault. When you use a Key to get a skin, you’ll also receive both of its Chromas.

Brawl Stars Brawl Pass End Rewards or Tail Reward

Okay, so Tail Rewards are changing up! Now they’ll cost 2800 XP, but the cool thing is you don’t get the same thing every time. It’s a random drop – could be a Demon Drop, a Sushi Drop, or even one of the newer Chaos Drops. The best part? These Tail Rewards always give you better stuff than just getting a random drop from Starr!

You can use Gems to improve the rewards you get from your tail, but don’t forget to claim them before the season is over—otherwise, you’ll only receive the regular reward. This is a major update! For a complete list of changes, see our December 2025 update article.
