The four-week-long event, called the “Battle for Katana Kingdom,” is inspired by the game “Brawl Stars.” This narrative unfolds as Kenji experiments with a unique sushi recipe, leading to a whirlwind of disorder in an entire world.
In this occurrence, there are four consecutive segments, each segment spanning a full week. During each segment, you can anticipate some fantastic perks, game options, and unique merchandise becoming available.
This limited-time event, spanning throughout the month of May, guarantees unbridled excitement and substantial rewards, not just for you, but also for the entire community.
All Chapters in the Battle for Katana Kingdom Event
We’ll break down what each Chapter will bring to Brawl Stars in the following sections.
Chapter 1: Way of the Wasabi
The first chapter starts on May 1st. This is where we’ll introduce three new elements: Sushi Rolls, a powerful Wasabi ability, and the Samurai Smash gameplay style. Let’s delve into each of these below.
Hey there! Let me share my take on the excitement of Sushi Rolls, which bear a striking resemblance to Starr Drops in their mystery-unveiling mechanism. Just like swiping a magic charm, you can give each roll a quick flick, up to four times, to potentially multiply them into even more rolls! The rarity of these sushi rolls varies: Rare (1 Roll), Super Rare (2 Rolls), Epic (4 Rolls), and Mythic (8 Rolls). Each roll comes with its own surprise prize.
you’ll get perks like Coins, Hypercharges, Power Points, Brawlers, and exclusive cosmetics for specific events as rewards.
Additionally, the abilities in this game are called Wasabi Powers, which are exclusive to Brawlers and provide unique skills. In total, there are 60 of these powers available, separated into four different rarities:
1. There are 20 Hot Wasabi powers.
2. 15 Extra Hot Wasabi powers.
3. 15 Crazy Hot Wasabi powers.
4. 10 Inferno Wasabi powers.
You can obtain these abilities by opening Sushi Rolls.
Ultimately, the game mode Samurai Smash involves Player versus Player versus Environment (PvPvE) combat, with teams of 3 or 5 players battling each other. Additionally, you’ll encounter Robot Samurais who will assault both teams with their distinctive attack patterns. The goal is to gather as many Daruma Dolls as you can, which are strategically placed throughout the map, before the time runs out.
In a 3-player squad, the team that gathers 50 Daruma Dolls first emerges victorious, whereas in a 5-player team, the team that first accumulates 100 Dolls is declared the winner.
Chapter 2: Rise of the Futomaki Five
Chapter 2 starts on May 8th, where it unveils the Mega Buffet Club gathering and a frenzy-filled Mastery Madness Weekend.
The Mega Buffet Club function operates in a manner similar to the structure you may recognize from the Mega Pig event. Participants receive four tickets daily (which accumulate), allowing them to engage in various Mega Buffet game variants, during which Wasabi Power and additional modifiers are activated.
With every victory in a match, a point gets added to the Mega Buffet counter. As soon as we hit a milestone, every club member receives a Sushi Roll as a reward, but remember, you must accumulate at least three victories to qualify for these perks.
Additionally, you’ll find the “Mastery Madness Weekend” happening on the 10th and 11th of May. This period offers a chance to collect extra Mastery Points through victories in games.
Chapter 3: The Taste of Vengeance
Chapter 3 begins on May 15. It will introduce the Oni Hunt game mode and a Double XP Weekend.
In the game mode known as “Oni Hunt”, three characters engage in a PvE battle against an enormously powerful, hyper-energized demon character named Kenji. By successfully completing matches, you can earn Coins and Sushi Rolls as rewards. Keep in mind that Kenji possesses multiple attack strategies, so it’s crucial to stay vigilant and avoid the harm they can cause. The match will end once all teammates have been defeated.
Once the game mode has been introduced, you will be able to collect seven consecutive daily rewards if you manage to clear Kenji’s five levels of difficulty every single day.
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be having a Double XP Weekend from May 17th through the 18th! During this time, you can rack up even more XP for the season’s Brawl Pass, giving you an extra boost towards those rewards!
Chapter 4: The Final Cut
Chapter 4 begins on May 22. It will introduce Daily Contests and a x2 Starr Drop event.
Every day, you’ll have the option to select among three different game settings or maps. Once you make your choice, you’ll join a leaderboard with up to ten other players, all of whom are competing on the same setting or map for that day.
The aim is to reach the highest position you can. The greater your position, the more Sushi Rolls you’ll earn as a prize. This holds true for the top eight competitors. Regrettably, the last two players won’t receive any prizes.
Here’s your daily allocation of four contest tickets, and remember, they can only be used once, so make sure to utilize them wisely.
In the x2 Starr Drop event, you’ll receive an extra Starr Drop upon achieving your initial, fourth, and eighth victories within your Daily Win Milestones.
