One facet of the game Brawl Stars that’s not frequently discussed is the special characteristics of each Brawler, known as Brawler Traits. These can be either passive abilities that assist your Brawler in charging their Supers or unique traits that influence how your Brawler performs on the battlefield.

These strategies are generally straightforward to grasp, yet they significantly influence the way you plan your assaults and the tactical style you adopt when facing a Brawler. To ensure success, it’s crucial that you master these techniques.

All Brawler Traits in Brawl Stars

At present, there are a total of eight distinctive Brawler Traits found within the game Brawl Stars. For a comprehensive understanding of their functions, kindly refer to the table below which provides detailed explanations for each trait.

DamageBrawlers with the Damage Trait can charge up their Supers when they take damage. This Trait can usually be found on Tank Brawlers such as Frank, Jacky, and Rosa.
HoverBrawlers with the Hover Trait can float over water. This Trait can be found in Brawlers such as Angelo and Eve.
Increased DamageBrawlers with the Increased Damage Trait will have the damage from their main attack increase over time. This currently only affects Pearl.
Power TokenBrawlers with the Power Token Trait gain Tokens as they hit enemies. These increase the power of the Brawler.
ProximityBrawlers with the Proximity Train charge their Super based on either how close they are to allies (such as Buster) or to enemies (such as Buzz and Cordelius).
RandomBrawlers with the Random Trait will have their Super ability randomly chosen. At the moment, this only affects Chester.
Super HealingBrawlers with the Super Healing Traint charge their Supers simply by healing.
TimeBrawlers with the Time Trait either charge their Supers over time (such as Chuck and Edgar) or start matches with their Supers fully charged (such as Sam).

Supercell may add more Traits to Brawl Stars in the future, so keep an eye on this space!

How to Check a Brawler’s Trait

To check on what Trait a Brawler has, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. In the Brawl Stars Main Menu, tap on the ‘Brawlers’ button on the left-hand side of the screen.
  2. Select the Brawler you want to check on.
  3. Then, tap on the Brawler’s stats menu.
  4. A new menu will appear where you can see the Brawler’s Trait listed under the ‘Trait’ section.

Remember that not every Brawler will possess a ‘Trait’. Therefore, it’s possible to come across a Brawler whose profile doesn’t include anything in the ‘Trait’ category.
