As a gaming aficionado, I can’t help but marvel at Brandon Sanderson, the mastermind behind captivating series such as “The Stormlight Archive” and “Mistborn”. These epic tales unfold within the same expansive universe known as the Cosmere – his very own interconnected, sprawling storyline that rivals even the grandeur of a Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sanderson boasts a highly enthusiastic fan community. A significant number of these fans flock to his yearly Dragonsteel convention, which is centered around his work. He shattered fundraising records on Kickstarter when he collected funds for a series of upcoming novels that were shipped directly to contributors who donated. This fellow is a marketing genius.

Once again, Sanderson is launching a fundraising campaign! This time, it’s for Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere RPG, a table-top role-playing game that resembles Dungeons & Dragons. In this game, players can assume the roles of characters from the Stormlight Archive, Mistborn series, and many more. The initial goal when the Kickstarter started was $250,000. However, with only 15 days remaining as of now, Sanderson has surpassed $7 million. On the very first day, he managed to raise an astounding $5 million, breaking a platform record. Previously, the most raised for a board game on Kickstarter was $1,150,566, for the board game Avatar Legends.

In the end, the Avatar Legends event amassed a total of $9,535,317. With more than two weeks still remaining for Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere RPG campaign, there’s a strong likelihood it could surpass this figure. I wouldn’t hesitate to place my bets on Sanderson in such endeavors, given his track record.

Regarding the game, we’re aiming to release the initial content by around September of this year, focusing on “The Stormlight Archive”.
