Brandi Glanville now knows what was behind her recent facial problems: her breast implants were the cause.
I just heard from Brandi Glanville, and she’s really focused on healing her skin now that she’s finally figured out what was causing the issue. She told TMZ she’d been at the doctor’s getting treatments – things like lasers – to help with recovery. Sounds like she’s taking it seriously and getting the care she needs!
Earlier this month, Tamra Judge had her breast implants removed, according to a report from InTouch. She originally got the implants in 2007 after having her son, Jake. Doctors discovered a slow leak in her left implant and found that her right implant had completely broken.
The reality TV star explained to TMZ that a facial infection was caused by silicone spreading to and blocking her lymph nodes. She said the blockage prevented the infection from draining.

The people who run the biggest fan sites for the show are talking about their impact on Bravo and the attention they receive: ‘Do the show’s stars reach out to me directly? Yes, they do.’
For several years, Glanville has been dealing with an unknown health issue that caused her face to swell repeatedly, made it difficult to speak, and led to tooth loss, making her avoid public appearances. In 2024, she shared that despite spending over $70,000 on medical care, doctors hadn’t been able to diagnose the cause of her facial disfigurement, although some thought a parasite might be responsible. She even attempted to treat it herself with Nair, a hair removal product.
As a critic, I’ve seen a lot, but this story is truly shocking. Glanville recently shared with TMZ that she discovered the cause of her facial disfigurement after years of searching. She’d been to 21 different doctors, completely baffled, until a sonogram finally revealed the culprit: her breast implants. Apparently, after nearly 20 years, they were damaged and causing the issue. It’s a wild twist and a reminder that sometimes the answer is in the most unexpected place.
Glanville shared a difficult experience, urging everyone with implants to get them checked by a doctor after ten years, even if they’re not experiencing any problems.
I’m not discouraging anyone from getting implants,” she said. “Just be proactive about it and really focus on follow-up care, especially regular sonograms. Talk to your doctor about what’s best for you.
Glanville seems to be doing well and is recovering nicely. She’s now looking forward to getting her teeth repaired.
Despite doctor’s orders, “I can’t rest,” she said. “I’ve been home for three years.”
