Brandi Glanville reveals she hasn’t had sex in a year as she battles facial disfigurement

Brandi Glanville openly shared that it’s been over a year since her last intimate encounter, as she faces challenges related to her facial disfigurement.
On Sunday, the ex-star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, now 52 years old, opened up about her personal challenges in an honest manner on her podcast, Brandi Glanville Uncensored.
Since the onset of this matter towards the tail end of last year, I must confess I’ve kept a low profile in social settings. To be precise, I haven’t shared any intimate moments such as kissing or sleeping with anyone since the commencement of 2023.
As a person who values my time and energy, I prioritize my commitments wisely. Since last October, I’ve found myself focusing more on my personal growth, rather than romantic entanglements. I’ve been single for quite some time now, and I haven’t kissed or made out with anyone during this period. In fact, I’ve chosen to spend most of my free time socializing less, opting instead for self-reflection and solitude. This decision has allowed me to reevaluate my priorities and focus on the aspects of my life that truly matter to me.
The individual, attributing her problems to a suspected parasitic infestation, further stated that her facial appearance was not ideal, yet she maintained a positive outlook, expressing that she had enjoyed fifty satisfying years.
As a die-hard fan, let me spill the beans! Brandi, known for her past romances with big-name celebs, confided that she’d consulted Dr. Terry Dubrow. However, in true fanatic fashion, I can’t help but feel a twinge of anticipation as she seeks another expert’s advice before making any decisions.
Brandi explained that Dubrow told her it might take five years for her to be ‘totally fine.’
‘Five years is way too long for me to wait.’
The star mentioned her intention to perform additional tests such as an MRI and a CT scan, as well as have another look at these using an MRI. She expressed her desire to fully understand or resolve this situation.
Brandi mentioned that she isn’t feeling improved and continues to perceive a movement or flicker in her facial area.
Besides this, she mentioned that she is under the care of four distinct medical professionals, each offering a unique perspective on what the issue might be.
According to ET, Brandi revealed that she’s shelled out approximately $70,000 so far in an effort to identify the source of the lumps. In fact, the celebrity has gone as far as having her facial fillers completely removed.
This comes after Terry called Brandi’s face a ‘ticking time bomb.’
Dubrow expressed apprehension regarding Glanville’s startling statement suggesting that her recent facial alteration could potentially be due to an ‘infection by a parasite.’
In an interview with TMZ, the plastic surgeon strongly advised Glanville that her current condition was potentially dangerous and highly urgent, recommending she seek immediate medical attention from her physicians.
Dubrow emphasized that, in his viewpoint, it’s crucial for her to obtain a definitive diagnosis from a medical professional, enabling her to address the underlying issue directly.
He expressed worry that Glanville might be experiencing either an “illness caused by a germ” or a “reaction to something she was injected with.
Dubrow further explained that it’s not Glanville’s fault if she wasn’t sure about the cause of her symptoms, as he instead pointed the finger at her doctor for lacking a definitive diagnosis and treatment strategy.
Indeed, he appeared quite confident that whatever was happening with her wasn’t due to a parasite and wasn’t connected to something she consumed.
Instead, he proposed that the issue might be a foreign entity that entered her bloodstream and took root.
Interestingly enough, Dubrow contemplated the possibility that Glanville’s medical judgement could outpace her physicians. He suggested that perhaps she was correct in thinking surgery might be necessary.
He pointed out that she might have contracted either mycobacteria or fungi, which can prove to be quite challenging to eradicate.
Dubrow appeared noticeably worried as he described Glanville’s state as being “akin to a time bomb with each second increasing the risk of escalating harm.
He added that antibiotic treatments for mycobacteria or fungus could take six to 12 months.
It’s crucial that she receives a thorough diagnosis, which might also involve taking a tissue sample from her skin, to help identify what health condition she may have.
During a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight, Brandi shared her exasperation about not receiving a definitive diagnosis for the mysterious ‘skin-dwelling organism’ visible on her face.
For the past year, she’s been taking medications and has largely avoided socializing or going out. Instead, she’s been pouring most of her funds – around $70,000 – into trying to diagnose and treat her condition that she mentioned to ET.
Glanville has been a variety of doctors in an attempt to get to the root of her issue.
To put it simply, I’ve seen numerous doctors and have undergone countless examinations. I even paid $10,000 for lab work alone. In essence, they’ve tested me for everything imaginable. Recently, the medical professionals suggested that it might be a recently discovered parasite causing my symptoms.
Brandi thinks she knows how she contracted the potential parasite.
She mentioned that they left some food out for extended periods, including meat, and this happened in Morocco.
Six months post my return from filming in Morocco, I began experiencing some peculiar issues with my speech and swelling. These problems surfaced in July, and we’ve been attempting to diagnose the cause ever since.
Even amidst her health challenges, Brandi managed to have a delightful holiday season, spending it with her former spouse Eddie Cibrian and his current wife, the country singer LeAnn Rimes, during Christmas.
In a recently uploaded Instagram group picture, she could be spotted alongside the couple. Additionally, their two boys, whom Brandi has with Eddie – Mason, aged 21, and Jake, 16 – were also visible in the photo.
Glanville’s face looked healthy as she was seen with a Christmas hat on in the back row.
She was married to Eddie from 2001 until 2010.
Previously, Brandi asserted that she had relationships with several well-known men before her wedding, among them being David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc from Friends, Gerard Butler and Ben Stiller, as well as an anonymous actor from the movie The Notebook.
