Adidas Originals, along with Brain Dead, are reuniting their creative team. Following leaked images of the collaborative Brain Dead x adidas Japan Lo sneaker silhouette, this experienced pair has now unveiled their entire Japan Flames collection. This collection features three collaborative footwear offerings that draw inspiration from wrestling, and a captivating new lookbook showcases them.
With their successful collaboration on tennis and bowling shoes, such as the Brain Dead x adidas Originals Stan Smiths and the Brain Dead x adidas Originals Forest Hills, along with an exclusive archival bowling shoe at Dover Street Market, it’s no surprise that Brain Dead is now venturing into wrestling. In fact, they established their professional wrestling promotion, known as Brain Slam Wrestling, all the way back in 2022.
Based on a strong foundation, the duo has successfully released both the Brain Dead x adidas Originals Japan Hi and the Brain Dead x adidas Originals Japan Lo. The low-profile design is available in two color schemes: one featuring brown with yellow accents and green highlights, and another black with blue details and off-white accents. This style boasts a leather upper, adorned with two-tone suede flame overlays and contrasting leather stripes. Additionally, it includes furry laces and co-branded insoles to complete the design.
Instead of the high-top, it resembles a wrestling boot’s aesthetic. Available exclusively in an all-black colorway with accents of off-white and pine green, the boots showcase a similar flaming pattern.
