Bradley Cooper is a doting dad as he stops to tie 7-year-old daughter Lea’s shoelace during New York City outing

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Bradley Cooper is setting the bar high for modern fatherhood. His recent outing picking up his daughter Lea from school and spending quality time with her is a testament to his dedication as a parent.

On a typical Tuesday afternoon, Bradley Cooper fulfilled his fatherly duties by picking up his daughter Lea, whom he co-parents with ex-partner Irina Shayk, from school on Monday.

In a casual, gray T-shirt and sweatpants, the 49-year-old father of one – who became a parent to Lea with Shayk in 2017 – presented himself comfortably dressed.

He sported a scruffy beard and covered his long, brown hair with a black Pearl Jam baseball cap.

At one point, the Maestro star crouched down to tie the lace of seven-year-old Lea’s pink Nike sneaker.

For a number of years, the experienced actress herself had a pastel pink knapsack slung casually across her shoulder while he escorted her for an ice cream outing.

As an over-the-moon fanboy, I couldn’t help but spot the director of “Silver Linings Playbook” on a bustling New York City street. He was wearing shades so dark they seemed to swallow the sun, their round frames reminiscent of a timeless icon. In his hand, he cradled a thick book, its pages beckoning to be devoured – a sign of an intellectual journey waiting to unfold. Accompanied by his little one, they strolled with purpose, each step echoing the rhythm of their shared passion for storytelling.

He punctuated his casual outfit with a pair of tan and black Jordan sneakers.

For her part, little Lea was clad in navy blue shorts and a coordinating T-shirt.

She wore red and white socks with her sneakers, which had white and black accents.

Currently, the renowned Russian model, Irina, is strutting her stuff in Italy, gracing runways for brands such as Attico and Ferrari, during Milan Fashion Week.

She and Cooper were first romantically linked in 2015 before splitting in 2019. 

Bradley has just come back to New York City following a stint in the Mediterranean, where he was accompanied by his partner, Gigi Hadid, who is 29 years old.

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of joining some companions on a thrilling ride on a banana boat, right off the coast of the beautiful South of France.

Shayk described her ex as ‘a full-on, hands-on dad — no nanny,’ when chatting with Highsnobiety.

She added, ‘Lea went on holiday with him for almost two weeks — I didn’t call them once.’

In an interview with Elle, she revealed that she and the leading man of A Star Is Born, Irina, consistently manage their respective work commitments to effectively balance their shared role as parents.

“He’s just the perfect father that Lea and I ever wished for, and he manages to be so because we work hard to make it that way,” she enthused. (This version maintains the positive sentiment while clarifying that the father is good due to their joint efforts.)
