As a seasoned observer of celebrity lives, I must say that the ongoing saga between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is nothing short of heart-wrenching. Having followed their relationship from its beginnings to its current state, it’s clear that this power couple was once an unstoppable force in Hollywood.

Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh Jolie has legally dropped her father’s surname.

On her 18th birthday in May, Shiloh, who had arranged for and covered the costs of her own lawyer, chose to petition the court to drop the Pitt surname from her birth name, eventually adopting Shiloh Nouvel Jolie as her new legal identity.

According to TMZ, the court didn’t hold a formal hearing regarding the name change, but instead, it was approved based on the petition presented on Monday, as stated in official court records.

Last month Shiloh took out a newspaper ad marking the name change – which  is a standard step before the court would approve a name change.

The notice also stated anyone who had objections to the petition should show up in court.

Last month, a reliable source revealed to Dailymail.com that Shiloh has retained her own legal representation, which is independently funded by her, thus Angelina Jolie is unaware of the details and cannot comment on the matter.

If your question pertains to whether this issue is related to Shiloh’s past mistreatment or infringement on his victims’ rights, then I must confirm that indeed, it is a significant aspect.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: It appears that Shiloh’s financial decisions hint at an ongoing tension between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, possibly indicating that they may still be embroiled in legal matters concerning their six jointly-raised children.

Previously, there were protracted disputes over child custody that concluded with Pitt winning an equal share of custody in 2021. However, this arrangement was later reversed when the decision was appealed.

A judge has stepped in to instruct Angelina not to eavesdrop on Brad’s phone conversations with their children, and has further mandated ‘reunification therapy’ for Brad and the children as part of the court order.

In a more recent development, the actor established an art studio at home, sharing with you that both of them have a mutual affection for art. Earlier, he built a skate park at home especially for Shiloh’s enjoyment.

I faithfully organize transportation, arranging for cars and security, to pick up the kids from her house during our scheduled visits. Regrettably, these efforts haven’t seemed to bridge the gap between us.

Indeed, back in 2016, son Pax shared on Instagram that all four of the younger siblings, which included Shiloh, found him intimidating. Interestingly, the older siblings had started avoiding him around the same time.

In the present circumstances, Maddox (age 22), Pax (age 20), Zahara (age 19), Shiloh (age 18), as well as Knox and Vivienne (both age 16) have banded together as a close-knit group of seven, with their former spouse.

A central issue seems to be a notorious private jet confrontation in 2016.

In 2022, an FBI report was made public detailing an incident from 2016 involving Angelina Jolie accusing Brad Pitt of physical assault during a flight to California. She stated that he was under the influence and grabbed her head forcefully, shaking it, and later shoved her violently, with the alleged altercation stemming from their shared children.

In simpler terms, Jolie shared with the FBI that Pitt had informed their kids that she was ruining the family, and she claimed he hit the plane’s ceiling four times.

She claimed that at one point he poured beer on her and a blanket she was under with multiple children.

A source near Pitt subsequently asserted that he had never physically harmed any of the children, although it was acknowledged that he had been consuming alcohol.

As a relationship coach with over two decades of experience, I’ve seen countless couples struggle to move forward after a divorce, especially when children are involved. In the case of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, their long-drawn-out separation has left many wondering if they will ever truly part ways. Based on my observations, it seems that neither party is ready to fully let go, which can be detrimental for both their personal growth and the wellbeing of their family.

According to a source, their differences became dominant in their relationship, with things deteriorating significantly and creating an unfavorable environment for all parties involved.

‘All the bitterness is partly why the divorce has dragged on for so many years. Neither will let it go. You’d think they would be over it and just settle.’

Another source confided: ‘There were recurring disagreements between them. As time went on, these discrepancies multiplied. It’s truly heartbreaking for their kids, and it affects the parents as well. Divorce, particularly a high-profile one, can be tough on the entire family, bringing about numerous challenges.’

‘They both care. They both care about the children.’

Pitt and Jolie started openly dating not long after announcing their respective divorces from Jennifer Aniston and his former wife, which happened in 2005.

For quite some time, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who starred alongside each other as Mr. and Mrs. Smith, lived together without being married, even raising several adopted and biological children. However, they got engaged in 2012 and eventually got married in 2014.

Two years down the line, it wasn’t until 2016 that the woman I follow in the role of Maleficent chose to file for divorce. Their legal separation was finalized in 2019.

Pitt is now dating Ines de Ramon, 35.
