Boyzone confirm they are set to reunite six years after their last tour as they send fans into frenzy with exciting new announcement

Boyzone have confirmed they are set to reunite, six years after their last tour.

The Irish 90s boyband sent fans into frenzy after making the revelation on BBC Radio 2 on Friday.

Lead vocalist and co-leader, Ronan Keating, hinted that the band may attempt a reunion in 2026 following the triumphant reception of their latest documentary.

In 1993, a well-liked pop band was catapulted to stardom. It was founded by Ronan, now 48 years old, together with Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch, and Stephen Gately, who tragically passed away in 2009 at the young age of 33.

No Matter What,” which dropped back in February. It seems that this emotional journey has rekindled conversations about our beloved group’s future! I can hardly wait to see what happens next! 🤩💙

He expressed: ‘The response was astonishingly great, which makes us realize that we must have been discussing our tale over the past thirty years. It seemed to us that perhaps this was the culmination, maybe the conclusion of our story.’

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had some discussions. It seems there might be an opportunity for Boyzone to consider attempting something new in 2026.

Instead of merely fueling excitement among fans, the band shared a series of photos on their Instagram account, accompanied by the caption: “Our journey goes on!” They also invited fans to subscribe to their email list.

Originally formed in 1993, Boyzone took a break from their 7-year collaboration in 2000, allowing each member to explore individual paths in music. However, they rejoined forces once more in the year 2007.

They toured the world with their Thank You And Goodnight farewell shows between 2018 and 2019.

Inquired by Scott Mills about his bandmates’ well-being, Ronan replied: “They’re doing fantastic… following the documentary, the response was absolutely wild, it was astonishing, to be honest, even those who weren’t Boyzone fans were reaching out to me saying, ‘I had no idea’.

Regarding the impact of our documentary, he commented, ‘I found it playing on British Airways’ planes (going to England) in the documentaries section. There was someone sitting beside me who was watching it, making the situation quite uncomfortable, so I ended up covering myself with a blanket.’

Anticipation grew as Ronan hinted there might be yet another surprise when he performs at Radio 2 In The Park on Saturday, adding to the surprises already in store.

He mentioned that he currently has several surprises up his sleeve, and isn’t sure which one to pull out since quite a few things are in the works at the moment.

Tomorrow, we hope to see a performance, and possibly within the next few minutes, there could be another. I may have an opportunity for you, Scott, concerning a possible reunion.

After its debut, viewers of Boyzone: No Matter What have not held back on their criticism regarding Louis Walsh’s handling of bandmates Stephen and Mikey.

A notable moment that fans highlighted was when Louis reminisced about Stephen, who passed away in 2009, facing public revelation as a gay man in the UK’s newspapers.

Audience members asserted that the ex-judge on The X Factor seemed to smirk when discussing the story, suggesting they believed he may have been responsible for leaking it.

A viewer expressed their discomfort, stating that seeing the news headlines revealing Stephen’s identity was nauseating, according to Louis Walsh.

In the documentary, the band members remember experiencing harsh periods under Louis’s leadership. Later, Ronan describes him as ruthless and alleges that he attempted to sabotage his career.

Boyzone: No Matter What showcases unprecedented footage of the band’s manager, Louis, along with members Mikey, Ronan, Keith, Shane, and Stephen, accompanied by interviews from people who are intimately familiar with the group.

However, after watching the documentary, many viewers expressed their opinions about Louis on X, previously known as Twitter: “Following the documentary, I strongly believe that Louis Walsh may have been involved in outing Stephen Gately. The grin on his face when he saw the newspaper article was truly reprehensible, utterly disgusting!

Viewing the Boyzone documentary and finding Louis Walsh rather repulsive. His smug expression is quite off-putting. I can’t help but find him extremely unpleasant.

As a lifestyle advocate, I’d rephrase that statement to maintain respectful language while expressing concern for the individuals involved:

“As a fan of Boyzone’s music, I find myself deeply disappointed with the actions and behavior of Louis Walsh and Rav Singh. I believe Stephen and Mikey Goss did indeed deserve a much better experience during their tenure.

‘Louis Walsh. Wow. Comes across as completely vile!’

TopMob has approached representatives for Louis for comment.
