54-year-old actress Trina McGill, best known for her role on Boy Meets World, recently disclosed that she experienced a miscarriage following a pregnancy.
As I proudly shared in June, I, at the age of 55, have miraculously reversed a phase of my life to conceive my first child with my beloved husband, Marcello Thedford. This joyful addition marks my fourth child overall.
On Monday’s episode of The Tamron Hall Show, she shared her devastating news: ‘Sadly, I miscarried. This happened towards the end of the first trimester and we haven’t found a specific cause for it.’
I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to conceive at my current age and during this particular period.
The actress who portrayed Angela on the renowned 90s series stated, ‘A part of me wishes I never have to experience this again. I’ve realized that we’ll simply continue giving love to one another, and if something unfolds naturally in that manner, it’s acceptable. However, I prefer not to add any more stress to myself. Occasionally, letting go and trusting in a higher power is truly the best choice.’
She had previously insisted her pregnancy at age 54 was ‘completely natural.’
The actress told People magazine that she took a ‘holistic’ approach, calling it a ‘miracle.’
She revealed she was 12 weeks along in June.
Her remarks were made following the controversial assertion by her ex-co-star from Boy Meets World, Maitland Ward, that her pregnancy at 54 might be a promotional strategy.
Trina told the outlet, “I kept asking, ‘Is this actually happening?’ and still find myself doing so. ‘Is this actually happening?’ It seems unbelievable, but it truly is. During my pregnancy, I get sick or do strange things, and then I think to myself, ‘This is indeed happening.’
25 years ago, during my previous pregnancies, I’d often find myself reminiscing about those moments. Now, as I experience this pregnancy, I can’t help but exclaim, “This is it! This is actually happening!” It’s amazing, it’s fantastic, she concluded.
Trina said that compared to her previous pregnancies, this one ‘feels very [much] like a miracle.’
Trina is mom to three kids: Ramia, 31, Langston, 29, and Ezra, 25, with ex-husband Courtland Davis.
Previously, while pregnant with her kids, she was intensely focused on her acting career. Now, she mentioned that she’s taking it easy, or simply enjoying some downtime.

She asserted that being in a relaxed, stress-free setting played a significant role in her ability to reverse early menopause symptoms and conceive, despite having passed her last childbearing years.

At the time, she explained that she was one year into menopause.
She shared that they turned to ‘shamans’ for assistance in Belize, a place with which Thedford has a rich cultural heritage, and collaborated with the Garifuna community to delay the initial phases of menopause.
According to her account, by following the suggested medicinal herbs from Belize and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, both she and Thedford successfully became parents of a child.
Moreover, McGee added that residing in a tranquil lifestyle contributed to her alleviating menopausal issues and conceiving.
She emphasized that her top priority is to avoid stress and minimize exposure to negativity as much as possible, whether it’s what she watches on TV or what she looks at on her phone. In today’s world, negative content such as drama, violence, and negativity can be found in abundance once you turn on a screen.
She mentioned, “I was hoping to be precise when I switched on the screen – whatever I was going to watch. For me, stress is the most significant issue.
During her interview with the media outlet, she revealed that she’s experiencing hunger, nausea, and fatigue during her fourth pregnancy. However, she maintains a positive attitude in spite of these challenging side effects.
As for what she is feeling this time around, McGee said she was experiencing ‘just sheer joy.’
She went on saying, “I avoid any negative comments people make about it. Truthfully, I’m overjoyed. I feel incredibly fortunate, and that’s all there is to it.

In early June, McGee shared the happy news in an Instagram post accompanied by The Supremes 1964 hit song Baby Love.

To her 96,000 fans, she asked: ‘Could I kindly ask for your prayers for a safe birth? Many thanks in advance.’
In her caption, she said she was ‘gonna sign off social media for a bit.’
The actress seemed to announce the arrival of her baby during a relaxed getaway in Belize, since she’s been posting pictures from her stay at Malacate Beach in that country.
Approximately three decades past, McGee encountered her spouse for the first time during the shooting of the Sylvester Stallone movie, ‘Daylight’, in Rome.
She and the actor-director tied the knot 16 years ago after she starred on Boy meets World.
Regarding her pregnancy, McGee shared with the media that she had conversations with several of her ex-colleagues and team members, among them being Danielle Fishel. Notably, Fishel became a mother at the ages of 38 and 40 herself.
Well, funny enough, I did [talk to them] before I announced it,’ she said.
