Actor William Daniels, a beloved figure in entertainment, will turn 99 on March 31st, putting him just one year away from reaching the age of 100. To celebrate, his former co-stars from the show Boy Meets World are joining in the festivities.
As a big fan of Boy Meets World, I’ve been loving Pod Meets World, the podcast where Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong talk all about their time on the show. Recently, they shared a really sweet post on Instagram wishing William Daniels – Mr. Feeny himself! – a happy 99th birthday. It was a lovely message letting him know how much he’s loved by everyone involved with the show, and by all of us fans too!

Wishing William Daniels a very happy 99th birthday! He’s been an inspiration for so many, both as an actor and as a person. We hope his day is filled with joy, and we’re grateful for his incredible leadership. Sending lots of love from Danielle, Rider, and all the listeners of Pod Meets World!
Rider Strong, known for his role in Boy Meets World, posted a video on Instagram the day before his birthday asking fans to continue reaching out to him through Cameo, a service where fans can buy personalized video messages from celebrities. He shared that connecting with fans has been a rewarding experience for him later in life, and also thanked viewers in the new video.
I’ve loved meeting fans and friends, both through Cameo and at events, over the years,” Daniels said. “You all keep me feeling young, so please don’t stop! Alright, that’s all for now.”
Danielle Fishel Has a Special Surprise for William Daniels
Daniels is excited to receive a meaningful birthday gift from Fishel. She told People magazine she’s planning something nostalgic that reminds him of his early days performing.
As you get older, you tend to become more attached to memories, and Bill has had a truly remarkable career. I’d really like to look for some photos from his early jobs – he started performing as a child, and he was a tap dancer. I’m hoping to find something that captures that era from the 1920s for him.
Fishel mentioned Daniels’ sister, Jacqueline – his former childhood performing partner – and suggested, “Perhaps a lovely framed photo of the two of them would be nice.”
Last fall, Danielle Fishel and Ben Daniels reunited on screen when they both appeared on Dancing with the Stars. During Fishel’s performance on Dedication Night with her partner Pasha Pashkov, Daniels made a special appearance onstage, standing by a desk and chalkboard – a nod to his iconic role as Mr. Feeny in Boy Meets World. After her dance, Fishel went over to give Daniels a heartwarming hug.
