Boy George calls Paloma Faith ‘extremely rude’ in awkward unearthed clip after her childhood bullying row with Natalie Cassidy emerged

In a previously undiscovered video, Boy George criticized Paloma Faith for being extremely impolite during their shared tenure on The Voice.

The video is once again circulating, following EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy‘s allegations that a fellow student (who later became a singer) had bullied her during their school years.

And in 2016, Paloma had an explosive on-air argument with fellow The Voice judge Boy George.

During the audition process for former Liberty X member Kevin Simm, Boy George remarked: “The competition is filled with many powerful voices. You find yourself thinking that nobody could surpass those performances, but then someone starts singing. It’s a continuous shock.

As they conversed, Paloma feigned slumber and began to pretend-snore at the table before her, prompting George to remark, somewhat exasperatedly, “Pardon me, Paloma.

She responded: ‘Is it finished, is it time for us to wake up?’

George hit back, saying: ‘That’s extremely rude. Very rude. Anyway, you’re amazing Kevin.’

He suggested that Kevin might be better off choosing him instead of Paloma as his coach, since she has no hits in America. (Alternatively) He implied that Kevin would make a wiser choice by picking him over Paloma, given that she lacks any American hits.

After Kevin picks Paloma, George whispers to judge Will.i.am, ‘I’m not happy’.

Paloma looked uncomfortable, and said to judge Ricky Wilson: ‘I’ve upset George’

When questioned regarding the work-related disagreement on Lorraine during the show promotion, Paloma clarified, “It wasn’t a personal rift; rather, it was a professional misunderstanding. There was a specific issue at hand, but it had nothing to do with our real lives.

George commented: ‘I’m not close friends with Paloma to fully understand the consequences, but I believe I wouldn’t handle a serious rift between us very well.’

On her podcast, Life With Nat, Natalie recalled instances from her school days, including an unpleasant encounter she had with Paloma.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d share this interesting tidbit: Notably, two renowned personalities, Natalie, aged 42, and Paloma, 43, who have made significant strides in their respective fields – acting and music – happen to be alumni of the same school, Islington Green School. Intriguingly, Paloma was a year senior to Natalie.

Natalie asserted: ‘Paloma Faith was mean to me at school. She attended Islington Green School and was a grade ahead of me. We’ve discussed this, and she has apologized for her actions. I’m really disappointed.’

But in a twist to the tale, Paloma’s comments about her own torment at school have emerged.

In a 2012 tweet, Paloma emphatically stated that her school years were not simple, sharing that she was indeed bullied at school due to having braces and previously misaligned teeth.

Previously, Paloma, with her background in modern dance and experience as a magician’s helper, characterized Islington Green as extremely tough. She also mentioned that the area had an almost constant police presence due to frequent incidents of violence.

Despite the criticisms and allegations of bullying from my classmate Natalie, I, Paloma, proudly label myself as a pacifist. My school’s challenging atmosphere has been instrumental in fostering a robust sense of self within me. To survive, I had to learn to stand firm in my beliefs and be unyielding.

In addition, she expressed praise for her exceptional educators, sharing her enthusiasm during an interview with The Standard: “They were incredibly supportive of me. Despite the fact that my school was struggling, I managed to achieve straight A’s in my GCSE examinations.

She acknowledged that although her school fostered creativity, she didn’t undergo any structured music education. She emphasized this by saying, “Everything you see here is my own doing. I had no influential parents, no private schooling for the arts, and no BRIT School.

‘I didn’t have lessons, ever, I just copied records.’

Following the completion of her A-Levels at City and Islington College, Paloma then pursued a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance in Leeds. Later, she earned a Master of Arts (MA) in theater directing from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

During her academic journey, she managed numerous side jobs, such as working as a sales associate at Agent Provocateur, performing in a burlesque cabaret as a singer, and assisting a magician on stage.
