Bosch: Legacy Season 4 Update Shared by Titus Welliver

Though Titus Welliver‘s run as Harry Bosch appeared to end with the original series, the Bosch universe has continued with several new shows. Many fans are hoping for another season of Bosch: Legacy, and Welliver has confirmed that discussions about its potential continuation are happening.

Mimi Welliver recently shared an update on Season 4 of Bosch: Legacy in an interview. When asked if there were plans for another Bosch project featuring him as the main character, he explained that while discussions have taken place, it’s not likely to happen anytime soon. The current priority seems to be the new prequel series, Bosch: Start of Watch.

There Have Been Talks for More Bosch: Legacy

Welliver confirmed that he, Michael Connelly, and Henrik Bastin have discussed potential projects, but nothing is confirmed yet. He mentioned that the team is currently focused on finishing Start of Watch, which he’s looking forward to seeing, and is supportive of everyone working on it.

Although Titus Welliver isn’t currently planning a new Bosch series, he will reprise his role for at least a cameo appearance. He’s scheduled to be in the second season of Ballard, the spin-off featuring Maggie Q as Renée Ballard, having also appeared in the first season. While a release date hasn’t been confirmed, Ballard Season 2 is expected to premiere later this year.

Cameron Monaghan Is the New Harry Bosch

Production is underway on Bosch: Start of Watch, a new series that explores the early days of the iconic character. Cameron Monaghan, known for his roles in Shameless and Gotham, will star. Because the show is set in the past, it’s doubtful Titus Welliver will make an appearance, though a brief scene set in the future could allow for that. Currently, there are no plans for Welliver to be in the new series, and a release date hasn’t been announced yet.

For fans of Lance Reddick (Welliver), he’ll soon be starring in a new, intense series coming to MGM+ this summer. Titled , the show premieres on July 12, 2026, and also features J.K. Simmons (known from Oz). Set in 1980s Hell’s Kitchen, the series follows a ruthless Irish gang as they clash with the Italian Mafia. Though Welliver won’t be reprising his role as Harry Bosch, his new character promises to be just as tough.

You can still watch all three seasons of Bosch: Legacy on Prime Video.
