Borderlands Studio Gearbox Has an Imminent Announcement That Will Make Fans ‘Very, Very Happy’
As a hardcore Borderlands fan with countless hours invested into the chaotic worlds of Pandora and its expansive universe, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation as rumors swirl about the next installment in this iconic franchise. Randy Pitchford’s recent comments to GamesRadar have only fueled the fire, with his hints at “big things” and a new game that fans will supposedly be “very, very happy with.”
As a huge fan of the Borderlands series, I’m excited to see what lies ahead for this beloved franchise as it approaches its fifth anniversary with Borderlands 3. The anticipation is building, with rumors swirling about the next installment in the Borderlands universe. After experiencing the magical mayhem of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and the intriguing tales of New Tales From the Borderlands in 2022, I can hardly wait to see what new adventures await us fans!
Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox Software, has given a hint about the upcoming Borderlands game. He mentioned that the team is currently developing “big things,” implying something significant for fans to look forward to. However, with Pitchford also disclosing that there are “many things” in development at the studio, it remains unclear which project will be announced soon.
“We’ve been busy working on several significant projects and have not been able to keep it a secret, according to Pitchford in an interview with GamesRadar. Rest assured, our fans will be thrilled with the upcoming video game release. We won’t make them wait too long before making the announcement.”
As a longtime fan of the Borderlands franchise, I’m thrilled to hear that a new game is in development, as confirmed by publisher 2K earlier this year. With the upcoming release of the Borderlands movie in August, an announcement around the same time seems plausible and exciting. Moreover, the possibility of a sequel to the film before the end of the year adds another layer of anticipation. Having grown up playing Borderlands games and being an avid fan of the genre, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this beloved series.
Pitchford continued to express his excitement about Gearbox’s upcoming announcement: “I’m more enthusiastic than ever before, with an exceptional team creating what our fans have been eagerly anticipating. I can barely contain my excitement and can hardly wait to share the details!”
Borderlands 4, then? Most probably, yes. Watch this space.
