Bondi Rescue star Harrison Reid sells $1.5million Rose Bay home

Harrison Reid, known for his role on Bondi Rescue, has sold his house in Sydney’s eastern suburbs for $1.5 million.

Reid is selling his one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in Rose Bay after leaving his job as a lifeguard last December and moving back home to New Zealand.

Reid bought the property in 2019 for $1 million. They initially tried to sell it in 2024, but removed the listing when they didn’t receive any offers.

The 32-year-old is now working in his hometown of Christchurch as a real estate agent.

Reid’s former apartment, located on the top floor of a three-story building built in the 1960s, offers beautiful views of the city from 8 kilometers away.

Featuring modern fittings, the apartment boasts a large balcony off the main bedroom.

There’s also a combined dining and living area and an updated kitchen.

This is the only renovated apartment out of nine in the building, having been updated by its owner, Reid, seven years ago, as reported by The Daily Telegraph.

According to the publication, Reid moved to Sydney from New Zealand in 2014 and quickly settled in the eastern suburbs.

The popular reality star purchased a two-bedroom flat the same year for $725,000.

He combined the spaces to create a larger one-bedroom apartment and sold it for $745,000 in 2019. That same year, he moved into a flat close by in Rose Bay.

This announcement follows Reid’s December Instagram post where he revealed he was leaving his job as a lifeguard.

‘Not many people get to say they landed their dream job at 18 and lived it for 12 years,’ he said.

Going to work with your close friends, you never knew what each day would bring – whether someone would arrive at the station needing help, the emergency phone would ring, or a swimmer would get caught in a dangerous current and require rescue.

He said it was both a privilege and an honor to represent the team, and he was proud to have saved so many lives while doing so.

The TV star then thanked everyone who worked alongside him and supported him in the role.

I’d like to especially thank the paramedics, police, volunteers, and the people of Bondi who I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the years.

‘And to my parents, thank you for letting me chase my dream from day one.

To all the lifeguards I’ve had the pleasure of working with, both in the past and currently – thank you. Those years were the best of my life. I’ll always remember the long, busy days, our trips together, and even the late-night talks (and the occasional hangover) at The Bucket List.

He concluded his post by saying he felt fortunate to have made lifelong friends and was confident Bondi was well cared for.

Reid became a familiar face on television through his starring role in Bondi Rescue and his appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.

The lifeguard finished eighth on the show, competing against well-known personalities like Tina Provis from Love Island, footballer Zach Tuohy, comedian Geraldine Hickey, actor Nicky Buckley, and influencer Max Balegde.

Bondi Rescue first aired on Channel 10 in 2006, and after its most recent season in 2024, a new series is being planned.
