Bodyguard and Peaky Blinders’ Sophie Rundle’s cliffhanger-filled ITV thriller confirms return date

The thrilling series After the Flood is coming back to ITV soon! Sophie Rundle will return as Detective Jo Marshall, continuing the story from season one where she investigated a mysterious death following a devastating flood.

The popular show has been renewed for a second season, premiering on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, January 18th at 9 PM.

Detective Marshall teams up with her new partner, DS Sam Bradley (Jill Halfpenny), to investigate a strange case involving a body found in peculiar conditions in the new episodes.

Joining Halfpenny in the cast of After the Flood are newcomers Alun Armstrong, Ian Puleston-Davies, Matthew McNulty, Anil Desai, and Steph de Whalley.

Joining the cast are Nathalie Armin, Tony Marshall, Roger Morlidge, Oliver Nelson, Jenny Platt, and Lola Brown.
