The show is nearing its 300th episode! As this big moment gets closer, the show’s creator, Loren Bouchard, has given fans a little preview of what’s coming in the next episode.
In an interview with TV Insider, Bob’s Burgers creator Loren Bouchard shared what viewers can anticipate as the show approaches its 300th episode. Bouchard explained, “We’ve always known Bob wanted to open a restaurant, but we wanted to really show how much Linda was essential to making that happen, and how much she was the one pushing it forward.” He continued, “Her positive attitude was the real driving force behind Bob’s dream.” And, adding to everything, [they’re] expecting a baby.
You know, one of my favorite things about the show is how it highlights even a small restaurant… even if things are tough for them, they still make a difference. It really gets at the idea that we *all* have an impact on others, that we all touch people’s lives. And Bob and Linda, they’re constantly doing that for so many people, sometimes realizing it and sometimes not. It’s like they sometimes need a little reminder of just how much good they’re doing, which I think is so relatable. It’s all about impact, really.
According to Bouchard, a character’s entire backstory could be sparked by something as simple as a burger. “Those moments exist in real life, and they’re fun to discover in our show,” he explained. “So that’s part of what we were doing, connecting these characters to people you might recognize.” The series, created by Bouchard and co-developed with Jim Dauterive, quickly became a popular and successful animated sitcom.
As a huge fan, I’ve been following Bob’s Burgers since the beginning! The show centers around the wonderfully quirky Belcher family – Bob and Linda, voiced by H. Jon Benjamin and John Roberts, and their kids Tina, Gene, and Louise, brought to life by Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, and Kristen Schaal. It’s amazing to see how much recognition it’s gotten over the years – Bob’s Burgers has racked up dozens of award nominations and actually won 11 awards! And it was a dream come true when they finally released a feature film in 2022.
The Future of Bob’s Burgers
As Bob’s Burgers approaches its 300th episode, the show isn’t planning to stop anytime soon. It was announced in April that Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, and Bob’s Burgers will continue. Fans of the popular animated comedy can expect it to run for at least 19 seasons.
Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation, shared a statement when the news was released, saying, “We’re thrilled these iconic shows will have hundreds of additional episodes, giving both new and longtime viewers the chance to watch, revisit, and enjoy , Family Guy, American Dad, and Bob’s Burgers for many years to come.”
Bob’s Burgers is currently streaming on Disney+.
