Bobby Moynihan wants to play in a live action Star Wars

As a dedicated fan who has followed Bobby Moynihan’s career since his days on Saturday Night Live, I am absolutely thrilled at the prospect of seeing him in a live-action Star Wars film. His ability to breathe life into quirky and lovable characters is unparalleled, and I have no doubt that he would knock it out of the galaxy as an alien creature or even Jedi Bob.

Bobby Moynihan expresses enthusiasm for a live-action Star Wars film, and I share his excitement. The comedian from Saturday Night Live ponders over the character he’d like to embody, and his choice might catch you off guard.

In an interview on Disney+, as reported by Comicbook.com, Moynihan expressed his desire for a role in a live-action Star Wars production. He particularly mentioned his character from LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, Jedi Bob, as someone he’d love to reprise. Moreover, he expressed a wish to portray an alien character, stating, “I am keen on acting in Star Wars – I truly want to be part of live-action Star Wars. My dream is to play some kind of unseen-faced alien creature, like a slug or something. Ideally, I’d love to star as a live-action orca. Picture me in an orca costume, reduced in size, that’s my goal.

Moynihan could perfectly fit the role of an unusual extraterrestrial! With his exceptional skill as a character actor, he would undoubtedly add depth to the franchise. It’s worth noting that he’s no stranger to playing alien characters in distant galaxies. In fact, he’s even portrayed a colossal slug before!

As a devoted Star Wars enthusiast, I had the pleasure of witnessing Vincent Rodriguez III’s captivating performances in various episodes. For instance, in “Tatooine Rhapsody” from Star Wars: Visions Season 1, he lent his voice to Geezer the Hutt, one of the grooving members of the band Star Waver. In The Bad Batch and The Clone Wars, Rodriguez made brief appearances as a variety of characters, such as a Gran and a Moyn. However, it was his heartwarming and groundbreaking portrayal of Chadra-Fan Orka in Star Wars Resistance that truly stole my heart. Sharing the screen with Flix, they became the first on-screen queer couple in the franchise, paving the way for series like Andor, The Acolyte, and many more to follow.

It’d be fantastic to watch Bobby Moynihan in a real-life Star Wars production. For now, I’ll keep rewatching his “Undercover Boss” skit on Saturday Night Live featuring Kylo Ren – it’s been watched approximately 10,000 times by me already.
