Bluey fans turn on man who complained about kids asking him about his tattoo of the beloved cartoon character.. but not all is as it seems

As a dedicated Bluey fan, I’ve got to say, mate, this bloke’s got it all wrong! Tattooing one of our national treasures on his arm was always going to attract a bit of attention from the little blokes and their parents. If he didn’t want that, perhaps he should have chosen a different ink design!

A fellow has sparked disapproval among Bluey enthusiasts by grumbling over kids who inquire about his ink depicting the animated personality on his body.

Just last week, he shared a picture on X (previously known as Twitter) of his fresh tattoo depicting a cherished character blooming from a crimson blossom.

However, the caption that accompanied the picture drew the ire of Bluey fans on social media.

As a long-time tattoo enthusiast with countless ink designs adorning my body, I can attest to the fact that getting new tattoos can be quite painful, but the healing process is absolutely worth it. However, I must express my displeasure at being approached by aspiring tattoo artists or tattoo enthusiasts about my tattoos. It’s not that I don’t appreciate their interest, but it feels intrusive and gives me a strange sensation, similar to when someone asks to touch my hair without permission. So please, fellow tattoo lovers, respect my personal space and let the art on my body speak for itself.

Supporters of the program fiercely criticized the post, with several stating that the individual should not have gotten a picture inked on his arm if he didn’t wish to discuss it publicly.

Upon further contemplation, I pondered whether the tattoo could be authentic, given a comparable image had garnered viral attention back in 2021.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I found myself intrigued by the whimsical world of a beloved children’s show character, leading me to ink my skin with its image. To my surprise, I’ve been approached by little ones who seem drawn to my tattoo and initiate conversations about it. It’s an unexpected turn of events, but a delightful one at that!

A somewhat ironic individual stated: ‘It’s puzzling why young ones are questioning me about the ink depicting popular kids’ show character Bluey on a visible area of my physique. I never anticipated such a scenario. Parents, kindly monitor your offspring as I seem to struggle with wise choices.’

‘Maybe get adult interests lol,’ someone else quipped.

Another X user posed this question: ‘What is it specifically about the series that focuses on tiny plant offspring and their caretaker parents that appeals to you?’

The post also received backlash when it was shared to a Bluey fan group on Facebook.

‘How can I get attention while also being a complete tool?? I got it!!’ one comment read.

Another Facebook user expressed their viewpoint, saying they find it uncomfortable when people are called ‘breeders,’ finding it less acceptable than a child approaching someone who has a popular cartoon character tattooed in a visible location, although they acknowledged the latter scenario as problematic too.

However, there are signs the tattoo might not even be genuine.

Conducting a reverse image search on Google, it was found that the same picture appeared on a tattoo studio’s Facebook page in the year 2021.

Based on my years of observing social media trends and interactions, I have come to believe that some fans might think the post on X was merely a ploy to stir up reactions from people, given their past experiences with similar situations.

‘The caption has got to be rage bait. They can’t really be serious,’ one person said.

Bluey, widely recognized as Australia’s favorite children’s television series, chronicles the escapades of a charming, tireless six-year-old Blue Heeler pup named Blue, accompanied by her family consisting of mom, dad, little sister, and pals.

The animated series won the Kids: Preschool Award at the 2019 International Emmys.

The show has even captured the hearts and minds of schoolchildren across America and is changing the way they speak.

American children are adopting a distinctly Australian accent as they become fans of the popular animated series, Bluey.

Ever since that fateful day in September 2019 when this captivating cartoon made its grand debut across the Disney platforms – the Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney+ – I’ve been hooked! It’s taken America by storm, leaving no heart untouched by its enchanting allure.

2020 saw “The New York Times” refer to the show as a significant cultural export for Australia, much like the worldwide acclaimed children’s band, The Wiggles.

The cartoon remains faithful to its original Australian essence, brimming with “g’day” salutations and colloquial expressions such as “let’s see your flip-flops, dear!”
