Blueface sentenced to 4 years in prison after being caught with drug paraphernalia during probation

Blueface sentenced to 4 years in prison after being caught with drug paraphernalia during probation

As a diehard fan of Blueface, this news leaves me with a heavy heart. The rapper, who has always been raw, unapologetic, and authentic, is now facing the harsh realities of his choices. I’ve followed his journey since the ‘DMV’ days, and it’s disheartening to see him entangled in legal troubles yet again.

Blueface was sentenced to four years in prison on Friday for violating his probation.

Born as Johnathan Porter and now 27 years old, the rapper received the harshest penalty for possessing drug-related equipment. This action breached the conditions of his 2021 probation, according to TMZ’s reports.

In an emotional video shared on social media, Jonathan, the father, verified the news following his son’s court case, where he had been standing by him.

He stated in a video posted by TMZ, ‘It’s clear from my appearance what the outcome is.’ Then, he let out a shout. ‘He was sentenced to four years. Keep going strong.’

In a similar vein, Karlissa, his mother, spoke to the fans as well, saying, “If you had been in the courtroom, you would have heard Jonathan admit responsibility, and moreover, you would have recognized Jonathan’s unique voice.”

She added, “He seems to be thinking clearly,” referring to his mental state. “Regrettably, we didn’t receive the decision we hoped for today, but we did find a sense of resolution.”

‘We got new beginnings, and we’re all hopeful for this to go by smooth and quickly.’

Blueface’s manager, Wack 100, is hopeful that the rapper could be released from prison significantly earlier than the four-year sentence, possibly even in just one year.

In a rough calculation, it’s assumed that Blueface has earned credit for approximately 440 days spent in custody. Ideally, under California’s rules, he would serve only one-third of the remainder of his sentence left to serve.

“Johnathan mentioned that the sentence implies a reduction of the original four-year sentence, approximately 400-some odd days. In simpler terms, he will serve about three years, and if things go as planned, he could return home within nine to ten months.”

For the month of September 2021, Blueface found himself under supervision due to charges stemming from a scuffle with a club bouncer in Los Angeles.

Previously, the musician involved in ‘Find the Beat’ faced probation as part of a plea bargain resulting from a shooting incident at a Las Vegas strip club in 2022.

In the month of January, I found myself serving a six-month sentence in county jail due to yet another probation infringement. This time, it was for pushing a fan off the stage during one of my performances and instructing my associates to attend to her, saying, “Take care of her.”

Two weeks past, a judge in Las Vegas mandated him to surrender, even though he was already imprisoned, due to breaching his probation terms in that location too.

After Blueface received sentencing, his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, was transferred this week to the Northeast Oklahoma Community Corrections Center due to accusations that she had illegal narcotics intended for distribution.

He and Rock, 24, share 11-month-old son Chrisean Jesus Jr.
