Blue star Simon Webbe, 45, welcomes second child with wife Ayshen, 43, and the couple share adorable photos of baby
Reflecting upon the journey of Ayshen and Simon, I find myself deeply moved by their resilience and unwavering love for each other. Their story is a testament to the power of patience, understanding, and mutual support, especially during challenging times such as a difficult pregnancy and birth.
Simon Webbe has welcomed his second child with his wife Ayshen.
In August, the singer known for his blue stage persona, who is 45, along with his wife, also 45, shared on Instagram that their second child, named Riya Diamond, arrived on June 27th.
Making light of the delay in sharing the news, the couple humorously titled their post as follows: “Introducing Riya Diamond Webbe.”
I apologize for any delay in our introduction. My parents have been immersed in a joyful world with their newborn, showering me with countless cuddles and kisses, while my sister Cyan is also part of this loving scene.
‘This is my life so far!’
Simon and Ayshen are already parents to daughter Cyan, three.
They couple revealed Ayshen had endured five heartbreaking miscarriages and turned to IVF in order to have Cyan – but they conceived Riya naturally.

Simon also shares another daughter, Alanah, born in 1996, with his ex-partner Nicola Jones.
Back in March, I and my partner found ourselves with exciting news after a long journey – we’re welcoming our second bundle of joy! After facing challenges with fertility, the anticipation of parenthood for a second time is truly heartening.
In an Instagram post funded by Clearblue pregnancy tests, the pair published a video that included archival footage of Ayshin at the hospital during her heartbreaking miscarriages, along with a fresh segment rejoicing over their happy news about Cyan.
In my own words, I’d say: “I’m thrilled to share some incredible news! Miracles truly do occur, and ours is no exception. With the assistance of Clearblue, I’m overjoyed to confirm that our family is growing larger!”
Following some difficult setbacks and IVF journeys, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re going to be parents for a second time!
Despite the challenges along the way, each obstacle brought us to a place of profound joy – somehow, through sheer luck or fate, we managed to conceive naturally!
The post continued: ‘Our little miracle, due in July 2024, is already filling our hearts with love and hope.
Cyan is incredibly excited about this news, and we can’t express enough our gratitude for this wonderful development. Cheers to fresh starts and the amazing adventure that lies ahead as a united family!
The joyous news followed a lengthy journey to expand their family.
During Baby Loss Awareness Week in 2023, the couple openly shared their personal struggle, having gone through a third miscarriage on Instagram.
In April 2021, the couple was overjoyed to welcome their newborn daughter, Cyan, after enduring two heartbreaking miscarriages and an unsuccessful round of IVF treatment.
Writing for Tommy’s in October, the couple gave an update on their hopes to add to their family, explaining: ‘It’s not been easy but we are still on this journey and trying to stay positive.’
Regarding their daughter, Simon expressed that she exceeded all his expectations and then some. They felt incredibly fortunate and overjoyed to welcome such a lovely, healthy child into their lives.
He clarified, however, that apart from the birth of Cyan, they’ve also experienced a miscarriage and an unsuccessful attempt with frozen embryo transfer.
Simon disclosed that he and Ayshen faced challenges with their mental well-being following the losses, as he expressed, ‘My main concern was helping my wife cope; I hardly had the chance to mourn myself.’
The popular singer expressed his desire to lend his voice to support others, especially fathers and companions experiencing loss. He encouraged them, “Don’t face this struggle solo or silently.”
“At times, I realize there are things I just can’t mend. Yet, I can offer my presence, a willing ear. I find solace in various ways – maybe it’s grabbing a cold one with a buddy or taking a stroll. It’s all about finding our own paths to deal with the feelings that life brings us.”
Previously, Ayshen commended Simon for his assistance during a challenging pregnancy and delivery with Cyan.
The doctors performed an early cesarean delivery on the couple’s daughter because they found that she was experiencing restricted fetal growth during pregnancy.
At the 37-week mark, it was found that the baby’s leg growth had halted. As a result, the medical team decided it was necessary to perform an early cesarean delivery.
‘I was so worried and emotional,’ Ayshen told Hello! as she recounted her experience.
However, when I found myself doubting, “I can’t do this,” Simon, who had taken care of me for months during my battle with severe morning sickness, proved to be a soothing presence and source of encouragement.
‘With his reassurance and patience, he showed me that together we could get through anything.’
The couple wed in an intimate ceremony at the Corinthia Hotel London.
Simon’s bandmates Lee Ryan, Antony Costa, and Duncan James were singing a mix of their most popular songs for the audience at an event, representing The Blue group.
In February 2017, while they were vacationing in Jamaica, the musician proposed to Ayshen after being together for three years. This romantic moment took place on Valentine’s Day.
Years back, they crossed paths at a star-studded football game, however, it should be noted that Ayshen, being a member of the band Fe-Nix then, was already in a relationship.
For more than a decade, their paths kept intersecting, and gradually, Simon endeavored to persuade her that he was her true match.
