Blue Bloods season 14 DVD review: What is included in the boxset
As a die-hard Blue Bloods fan who’s grown up with the Reagan family over the past 14 seasons, it’s hard to believe that we’re reaching the end of this remarkable journey. The series has been a staple in my TV schedule, a comforting constant amidst life’s chaos.
For fans of “Blue Bloods,” this upcoming Friday, December 13th, brings a mix of happiness and sadness. The series is concluding, signaling the end of an epoch in our television viewing experience.
Great news! The much-anticipated DVD boxsets for “Blue Bloods” are coming out on December 17th. That’s when you’ll be able to own both the Season 14 DVD boxset and the Complete Series set. We’ve had a sneak peek at both, and we’ll be sharing detailed reviews for each in separate posts. First up is the Season 14 DVD boxset.
What is included in the Blue Bloods season 14 DVD boxset?
If you’ve already got all 13 seasons of the show on DVD, this is perfect for you as it eliminates the need to purchase the Complete Series. But if there are still some boxsets that you don’t own yet, then opting for the full series would be a wise choice.
In this post, I’ll let you know that the Blue Bloods Season 14 DVD boxset contains a total of 18 episodes spread across five discs. This collection tells the entire story right up to its anticipated bittersweet ending. Rest assured, I won’t be revealing any details about the series finale here—no need to worry about potential spoilers!
Beyond 70 minutes, there are additional segments. One such segment offers an insight into the Reagan family’s tale, reflecting on the incidents from season 14.
One way to rephrase the given text in a natural and easy-to-read manner could be: “The part I enjoy most is watching the blooper reel. It’s fascinating to catch a glimpse of the actors goofing off and breaking character on set, which reminds us they are just people like us. Often, we tend to forget that their characters’ personalities aren’t reflective of who they truly are as individuals. The blooper reel offers us an intriguing peek behind the scenes.
Picture, sound, and subtitles
The series comes in Widescreen with English 5.1 Dolby Digital sound.
One thing I am a little disappointed in is that only English is offered for subtitles. It would have been great to have a couple of other languages to make the boxset a little more accessible. I do think it’s becoming an issue for a lot of companies, though.
Blue Bloods season 14 will come to DVD on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
Catch up with the series on Paramount+ if you don’t want the DVD boxset.
