Bloober Team and Konami Working On New Game, Based on Konami IP

Konami and Bloober Team have revealed plans for another collaboration following the release of the latest version of Silent Hill 2, focusing on a brand-new project together.

As a passionate gamer, I’m excited to share that Bloober Team has announced they’re cooking up a fresh title using Konami’s intellectual property. It’s important to note that this upcoming game isn’t necessarily Silent Hill, although it would be fitting given the acclaim their remake received. Fingers crossed for more thrilling news on this front!

This from a Bloober press release:

Building on the accomplishment of Silent Hill 2, the established trust served as a base for sealing another deal for a fresh venture. This agreement supports Bloober Team’s strategic growth by extending their in-house development team within a first-party structure.

While specifics about the project are still under wraps, what we know for sure is that the game is going to be rooted in Konami’s proprietary content. Notably, Konami will maintain its role as both the publisher and the owner of the rights for this upcoming game.

Could it be possible that Bloober Team is secretly developing a horror spinoff of either Metal Gear, Castlevania, eFootball (or its current name)?

Still, it’s probably more likely that this is a remake of Silent Hill 3 or something.

Bloober CEO Piotr Babieno said:

While we’re keeping most of it under wraps for now, we’re thrilled and certain that our collaboration will excite fans equally. We’re eagerly looking forward to unveiling something extraordinary when the moment is perfect.
