BLEED Esports to overhaul VALORANT roster for 2025
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a tinge of nostalgia as I witness yet another shake-up in the VALORANT scene – this time it’s BLEED Esports turning over a new leaf for 2025.
A string of disappointing results means its time for a change.
In 2025, BLEED Esports revealed significant changes in their VALORANT team lineup and bid farewell to the majority of their players who competed in the Valorant Champions Tournament (VCT).
BLLED Esports VALORANT roster overhaul
BLEED Esports posted the announcement on their official X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
The team members Derric “Deryeon” Yee, Jorell “Retla” Teo, Kim “Zest” Gi-seok, and Jaccob “yay” Whitaker have been released by the organization. It’s worth mentioning that yay was unable to participate in the latest VCT Pacific 2024 season due to health issues. Unfortunately, BLEED Esports, without yay, concluded the VCT Pacific 2024 Stage 2 at the bottom of the rankings. They managed to secure just one match win throughout the entire season: a close 2-1 game against Detonation FocusMe.
After these team members leaving, only Natchaphon “sScary” Matarat and Ngô “crazyguy” Công Anh are still with the team now.
As a longtime esports enthusiast and avid fan of VALORANT, I must admit that I was initially quite disappointed with BLEED’s performance this year. However, after their triumph at VCT Ascension Pacific 2023, I found myself in awe of their dominance over the Malaysia/Singapore region Challengers. Their victory earned them the right to play in VCT Pacific for two years, and I can’t help but feel proud of their achievements.
2024 saw BLEED Esports finish at the bottom of the standings during the Season Kickoff, Stage 1, and Stage 2, consequently missing out on qualification for any global tournament.
At this point, there’s no news about any changes in the coaching team. For now, we anticipate that Head Coach Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić and Assistant Coach Sushant “Ominous” Jha will continue in their roles.
VCT Pacific in Champions 2024
The 2024 VCT Champions Tournament is underway right now. Unfortunately, Pacific supporters are facing a tough time because only DRX managed to reach the playoff round. Out of the four Pacific teams that were considered strong contenders, the others couldn’t make it into the top eight.
Due to a less than impressive showing by the leading teams in the region during the tournament, it seems that we might hear about more squad adjustments being made shortly. In the group stage of the competition, Gen.G and Paper Rex were eliminated with two losses each, while Talon Esports failed to secure any victories.
