When you start playing BLEACH: Soul Resonance, you’ll quickly realize that your team is the most important part of the game. It focuses on quickly swapping between characters, fast-paced battles, and using abilities at the right time. You’ll bring three characters on each mission, and how well they work together will determine if you easily defeat enemies or get defeated yourself.
Unlike games where players take turns, Bleach focuses on timing and strategy. Success depends on knowing which characters should be actively fighting, who should provide support, and when to swap them in to unleash powerful attacks. Because each character has special abilities and strengths, building a well-rounded team is more important than simply having the rarest characters.
Okay, so I’ve put together a guide to help you build the ultimate team in BLEACH: Soul Resonance. I’m also linking a page with all the latest Redeem Codes so you can grab some free stuff! How team roles work in BLEACH: Soul Resonance
In BLEACH: Soul Resonance, successful teams are built around three key roles: a Main DPS who deals the most damage, a Support character to boost the team, and a Secondary DPS who provides damage from the sidelines. These roles impact everything from how characters build up their Spiritual Pressure, to how often they can use their powerful ultimates, and how different skills work together. A well-balanced team with these roles working in harmony will have smoother combos, bigger bursts of damage, and a much higher overall performance.
1. Main DPS
The Main DPS is the core of your team and should be on the field most of the time. This character leads the battle, doing the bulk of your damage with fast movement, extended combos, and increasing power that depends on their damage type – whether it’s Slash, Strike, or Thrust.
Most main damage dealers have ways to boost their own power, either through temporary improvements or by changing into a stronger form. Your job is to keep these damage dealers attacking as much as possible, only briefly switching to support characters or those who attack from the sidelines to apply helpful boosts, weaken enemies, or add special effects that make your main attacker even more powerful.
2. Support
Support characters aren’t healers in the usual sense; instead, they create opportunities for your team to deal a lot of damage. They quickly enter a fight to provide strong benefits to the whole team – like boosting stats or lowering enemy defenses – or to briefly stun or disable enemies, then immediately leave the fight.
Top-tier supports can dramatically change a fight with just a few well-timed actions, and their benefits often last even after they’ve been switched out. A skilled support player speeds up your team’s damage output, ensuring your damage dealers are properly boosted and can defeat bosses much faster.
3. Secondary DPS
Secondary Damage dealers (DPS) focus on inflicting damage even when they aren’t actively being controlled. They do this through effects that happen alongside other attacks, damage-over-time effects like building up ‘Wound’ stacks, automatically triggered abilities like petals or projectiles, and by weakening enemies to boost the entire team’s damage.
These characters aren’t usually focused on fighting directly. Instead, they use their abilities to support your main damage dealer, creating powerful combinations and then letting their skills continue to deal damage even when they’re not actively in battle. If set up correctly, these supporting characters can deal as much or even more damage than some of your main fighters, providing consistent damage throughout a fight.
Examples of Team Composition in BLEACH: Soul Resonance
1. Beginner-Friendly Starter Team
- Ichigo (Shikai) – Main DPS
- Orihime Inoue – Support
- Chad – Secondary DPS
If you’re new to the game, a strong team combination is Ichigo (Shikai), Orihime Inoue, and Chad. Ichigo Shikai is great for dealing damage, with simple attacks that are easy to master. Orihime keeps the team healthy with vital healing and protective shields, making it easier to overcome challenges and recover from errors.

The Chad team is great for new players because it’s tough and helps you recover quickly, making difficult missions and boss fights easier. It has everything you need – damage, range, and the ability to stay alive – without requiring complicated strategies or hard-to-get characters.
2. The Bleed (Wound Stacking) Team
- Ikkaku Madarame – Main DPS
- Kaname Tosen – Secondary DPS
- Kisuke Urahara – Support
A team consisting of Ikkaku Madarame, Kaname Tosen, and Kisuke Urahara is incredibly effective at dealing continuous damage by repeatedly inflicting wounds on opponents. Ikkaku primarily fights on the front lines, using powerful, sweeping attacks and his Bankai to consistently apply these wounds.

Tosen excels as a support character, significantly increasing Ikkaku’s damage output with his special ability on the battlefield and automatically setting up powerful follow-up attacks. Kisuke further enhances both Tosen and Ikkaku with overall boosts, making each hit that builds up the ‘Wound’ effect even more devastating.
This team wins by gradually dealing damage over time, instead of trying to defeat enemies with quick, powerful attacks. As damage accumulates, even tough bosses and enemies with a lot of health will quickly fall. This strategy is particularly strong in longer fights where consistent damage is more important than short bursts.
3. The End Game Team
- Ichigo Kurosaki (Bankai) – Main DPS
- Kisuke Urahara – Support
- Byakuya Kuchiki – Secondary DPS
A team centered around Ichigo Bankai, Kisuke Urahara, and Byakuya Kuchiki is consistently one of the most powerful and effective combinations in the game. Ichigo excels at quickly dealing damage with his Slash combos, easily closing the distance with Getsuga Marks, and transforming into a truly destructive form with Hollowfication.

Kisuke quickly joins the battle to significantly boost Ichigo’s critical hit damage and apply stacks that analyze enemy weaknesses, then immediately steps back. Meanwhile, Byakuya supports from the sidelines, consistently dealing damage with automatically triggered petals, keeping the pressure on enemies even when not actively controlled.
This team is incredibly effective because it revolves around Ichigo, who is constantly in battle. Kisuke and Byakuya support him by providing boosts and extra damage, while Ichigo quickly defeats opponents. Every player switch is strategic and contributes to this streamlined, powerful strategy.
Final Thoughts
Building a strong team in BLEACH: Soul Resonance isn’t just about using your most powerful characters. How well your characters work together, how quickly you can switch them in and out, and what roles they fill in battle are all crucial. The most effective teams have a good balance of different roles. With the right combination of three characters, you can easily overcome tough campaign levels, defeat bosses more quickly, and speed up your overall progress in the game.
