BlazBlue Entropy Effect represents a thrilling, side-scrolling roguelike action game developed by 91Act.
How to level up and progress quickly in BlazBlue Entropy Effect
1. Focus on Mind Training to earn Core Progress
In this game, you’ll find yourself investing a significant amount of time as it serves as the primary hub for advancement, prizes, and personality growth. Your principal goal is to vanquish adversaries throughout four levels and ultimately overcome the final foe, Susano’o. This journey also involves enhancing your Prototype along the way.

2. Understand and maximize Tactics early

Strategy is the foundation for both your offensive and supportive abilities, which come in five distinct categories: Attack, Skill, Dash, Legacy, and Summon. Additionally, these skills can be associated with seven different elements such as Fire, Ice, Electricity, Poison, Shadow, Light, and Blade. Please note that you can only have one Tier 1 Strategy per activation type, so make sure to strategize your build wisely.
2. Save, repeat, and refine Builds
In BlazBlue Entropy Effect, advancement mainly involves trying out different strategies. It’s beneficial to save your builds, replay them with modifications, and continuously improve your Evotype pool as you progress. The stronger your initial Legacy Skills and Tactics are, the smoother your subsequent runs will be.
3. Unlock and inherit powerful Evotypes

In this game, each character possesses a unique ability known as an “Evotype Ability”. For instance, one such ability could be “Oblivion Glaives”. Additionally, you can pass on their Legacy skill to subsequent games. The choice of Evotype for your next playthrough is significant, as it offers an early advantage in the game. I recommend experimenting with various Evotypes in conjunction with the Prototype character you’re using.
4. Master Dodge Timing
In this scenario, it’s imperative to prevent harm, particularly as Entropy levels increase. Familiarize yourself with your Prototype’s Dash and active skills that have Dodge frames, and grasp the distinction between dodging, invulnerability, and invincible dodging. These actions can activate crucial passives or ward off attacks.
5. Build Elemental synergy from the first Stage
In each Tactic you select at every stage, the type of the chosen Tactic will influence the pool of elemental resources you can draw from, once the Tactic slots have been filled. It’s advisable to emphasize on elements such as Umbra and Toxin, or Fire and Electric, to gain an advantage during your playthroughs.

I’ll choose “Summon Tentacle” and “Dashing Shadow” from the Umbra skill set, which also includes “Skill Rend”, “Summon Blade Ring”, “Attack Flying Blade”, and “Skill Bladestorm”. Additionally, I’ll opt for abilities like “Legacy Electric Pillar” and “Skill Lightning” from the Lightning skill group, as well as “Orbiting Lightning Orb”. From the Ice skill set, I’ll select “Mystic Ice Sword”, “Skill Hail”, and summon an “Ice Spike”.
6. Plan your Legacy Skills around your core playstyle

Skills passed down from saved Evotypes, known as Legacy Skills, can either aid or complicate stage progression. These abilities impact your damage output, survivability, or movement speed, offering a unique twist to the gameplay. I prefer the skill set called “Way of Assassination,” which boosts damage when attacking from behind, making it ideal for high-mobility playstyles.
7. Understand Boss patterns and break them down
As I advance through the game, I’m encountering more formidable opponents – either Bosses or Elite Enemies. These adversaries possess distinct abilities and attacks. While early bosses such as the Watcher can be somewhat lenient, later ones like the Defiling Eye and the main boss, Susanoo, are ruthless. I’ve had my fair share of struggles, particularly against Susanoo.

To make it easier to defeat them, it’s crucial to comprehend their pattern of attack, since they usually follow a sequence or loop. During your initial attempt, concentrate more on understanding their rhythm rather than trying to defeat them immediately. Once you grasp the concept, synchronize your abilities with their pattern to inflict heavy damage, and utilize all the strategies you’ve accumulated thus far for maximum advantage.
8. Don’t neglect Utility Tactics and Summons
In this particular game, merely inflicting damage doesn’t guarantee victory. It’s advisable not to solely rely on tactics centered around damage. Instead, consider exploring tactics that involve summoning characters or applying debuffs. These strategies can be particularly effective in tough boss fights.
You might want to consider Ice Element Tactics since they apply a single layer of “Chill” on adversaries, slowing them down. They also offer “Impulse Stun” or “Thunderbolt Stun”, which can temporarily incapacitate enemies for several seconds. Additionally, the Poison abilities and attacks associated with the Toxin element are also effective choices.
9. Make your Character stronger with Mind Upgrades

Prioritize enhancing your characters’ base maximum health by focusing on “Mind Upgrades.” You can advance these upgrades using “Analysis Points” (AP), which you accumulate through gameplay and achieving major goals. Therefore, it’s beneficial to optimize AP farming and prioritize upgrading the Mind Upgrades.
Final Thoughts
Advancing swiftly in BlazBlue Entropy Effect isn’t solely dependent on combat skills; you’ll also need to strategize effectively by considering tactics, legacy abilities, and evotypes. Between battles, planning your Mind Upgrades, accumulating Analysis Points, testing various strategies, and other aspects are essential for progress.
