For the year 2025, the BLAST Slam 2 is set to be the second installment of the BLAST Dota 2 competitions. The previous event concluded with BetBoom emerging victorious. Here’s a rundown of what you can expect from BLAST Slam 2, covering teams, structure, and the distribution of prizes.

BLAST Slam 2 format

the Group Phase and the Knockout Rounds (or Playoffs). During the Group Phase, there will be two groups, each containing five teams. They’ll compete against one another in a league system where every team faces off with every other team once. Each matchup results in a single decisive game, not a best-of-series.

In simpler terms, the top-ranked team proceeds to the semifinals, the runner-up advances to the quarterfinals, and the third-best team progresses to the second round. Meanwhile, the remaining two teams will compete in the first round against others who have a similar standing.

In the playoffs, each round is contested as a best-of-three series, except for the Grand Finals which is a best-of-five series. This means that most games will have three matches, while the final round has five.

Prize pool and distribution

Ten teams compete in the BLAST Slam 2 event, with a grand total of one million dollars up for grabs as the prize pool. The victorious team walks away with a substantial reward of $400,000, while the first runner-up receives an impressive $200,000. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the prizes:
