BLAST Rivals Spring 2025: Quarterfinal – MOUZ vs. FaZe

In their usual pattern, FaZe tends to dominate against MOUZ. However, with their current slump in form, they’ve got a challenging task ahead of them tonight!

After completing two fast-paced group stages, we move on to the six-team playoff bracket at BLAST Rivals Spring. The action starts with teams MOUZ and FaZe taking the lead.

Despite one team being heavily favored, the underdog frequently presents a formidable challenge. Therefore, which team will rise to the occasion and secure a semifinal encounter with the Falcons?

We’re covering the quarterfinal between MOUZ and FaZe at BLAST Rivals Spring right here at Xpsp.

FaZe desperately hang on while MOUZ back to their best: Preview

Head-to-head: FaZe 16-8
Last matchup: FaZe 2-0 MOUZ (13-11, 13-7) @ PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025

In recent years, Faze has given Mousesports quite a challenge. Despite experiencing a noticeable dip in their performance in 2025, they’ve managed to outperform Mousesports in their last two encounters, sweeping each series without losing a single map.

As EliGE on the FaZe team, I knew we had a tough challenge ahead when facing MOUZ at Cluj-Napoca. But I dug deep and gave it my all, powering us to victory. If we’re going to make it to the top four for the first time since PGL Bucharest, I need to keep up this level of performance and lead the team with determination and skill.

To be honest, despite my fervent support for FaZe, it would be unwise to label them as favorites at the moment. After their disappointing performance at IEM Melbourne and the subsequent stomp they received from Falcons, followed by a shaky victory against FlyQuest, there are concerns about their current form.

After a rough outing against Vitality in Melbourne, it seems MOUZ is regaining its stride. They still appear to be strong contenders for the second spot globally, with the Falcons nipping close by. If MOUZ manages to overcome FaZe, we’ll have another chance to witness their intense rivalry.

Fans of MOUZ, pay attention to Dorian “xertioN” Berman as he takes the lead in this competition. The Israeli marksman has started off impressively at BLAST Rivals Spring, with a 1.29 rating (placing third behind donk and NiKo).

The match kicks off tonight, May 2, at 4pm CEST!
