BLAST Premier Fall Finals Viewership: One of the best for BLAST events

As a seasoned gamer with years of Counter-Strike under my belt, I must say that the BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2024 was nothing short of spectacular! The tension, the excitement, and the nail-biting matches were truly electrifying. The Grand Finals between G2 esports and NAVI was a showdown for the ages, and it’s safe to say that the 899,345 peak viewership couldn’t get enough of it!

With over 12.80M hours watched, Fall Finals 2024 was a roaring success.

2024’s BLAST Premier Fall Finals in Copenhagen brought together top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams, culminating in G2 Esports taking the championship title. Throughout the tournament, fans were treated to thrilling moments and incredible plays that showcased the skill of each team. A long-awaited moment came when Snax hoisted a trophy on a LAN stage, reminiscent of his past dominance in Counter-Strike competitions. This event marked the debut of numerous new rosters and peaked with approximately 900k viewers tuning in during the Grand Finals.

Viewership Peaked during the G2 vs NAVI match

During the Fall Finals, there was a great deal of excitement as the Group stage drew large audiences. As the tournament progressed, viewership reached its peak when the top teams squared off against one another. In the final showdown, G2 esports and NAVI clashed in an intense match-up, representing two powerful forces in Counter-Strike. In the end, it was G2 esports who claimed victory with a 3-1 score over NAVI.

Despite Snax claiming the team is still relatively young and the few months they’ve been together as ‘not enough’, G2 esports were still the best team at the event. The team had previously faced against NAVI in the group stage, a match that resulted in a 0-2 loss for G2 esports. However, as the team progressed through the playoffs, with victories over Team Vitality and Team Spirit, they seemed to have found their groove. The momentum was a big contributing factor and helped them move ahead of NAVI in the Grand Finals with their only map loss being on Mirage (11-13).

As a gamer, I’d estimate that we’ve been gaming together for about three months now, give or take a week or so. I can’t recall the exact date we started, but it feels like it’s been around two and a half months. In this time, I believe we’ve had no more than three weeks of consistent practice.

Best BLAST event By Peak Viewership

People’s consistent curiosity about BLAST competitions is evident in the ongoing increase of maximum audience numbers. The Fall Finals 2024 stood out among all other BLAST events with a peak viewership of 899,345, surpassing events such as the 2021 Fall Finals, Spring 2022 Finals, and many more.

  1. Fall Finals 2024: 899,345
  2. Fall Finals 2021: 861, 383
  3. Spring 2022 Finals: 759,242
  4. World Finals 2021: 727,376
  5. Global Final 2020: 687,691

It was no secret that G2 Esports, the tournament champions, was a highly favored team among viewers. While G2 had already built a strong fanbase, the addition of Snax to the roster further boosted their popularity. During the Twitch broadcast, G2 Esports was frequently discussed as many spectators eagerly cheered them on to claim the trophy. The Fall Finals hosted by BLAST proved to be one of the most widely-discussed events in the organization’s history.

At the recently concluded Fall Finals tournament, which had a total prize pool of $425,000 and was attended by eight teams, it was G2 esports who emerged victorious. This triumph earns them a direct pass to the BLAST Premier World Finals. The World Finals signifies the conclusion of the BLAST Premier season 2024-25, happening later this month in Singapore.
