The BLAST Premier Fall Finals will be the final BLAST event before the World Finals later this year. The Fall Finals will see teams participate from the Groups as well as Showdown. What is the Fall Finals Format
In a manner quite reminiscent of the Spring Finals, the Fall Finals consist of eight competing teams divided into two groups of four. Each team within these groups plays in a double-elimination tournament format during the group stage, and every match consists of a best-of-three series.
In simpler terms, the first-placed teams from each group will go straight to the semifinals, bypassing one game. Second-place teams advance to the quarterfinals as higher-ranked contenders, and third-place teams do the same but as lower-ranked competitors in the quarters. The top three teams from each group progress to the tournament playoffs.
The Playoffs are a very straightforward single-elimination bracket where the Quarterfinals are best of three series. The Grand Finals, on the other hand, is a best-of-five affair.
When will the BLAST Premier Fall Finals take place?
The BLAST Premier Fall Finals are scheduled from September 25th through September 29th, spanning over a period of five days. This tournament determines one winning team who will advance to the World Finals happening later in the year.
