The BLAST Austin Major has arrived, so let’s join the Pick’Em Prediction Game! By buying the Viewer Pass for the tournament, you’ll receive a special in-game commemorative coin and the chance to participate in the prediction game where you guess the outcomes of the major matches.

As a die-hard fan, here’s your chance to show off your expertise! Take on the Pick’Em Challenge and claim the prestigious Diamond Coin for the Austin Major. Here’s how you can do it:

How to play the BLAST Austin Major Pick’Em Challenge

In order to participate in the Austin Major Pick’Em Challenge, you need to purchase the Austin Major Access Pass. You can get this pass from the CS2 store.

  • Open CS2, then from the homepage click the Major Championship Hub & Items to the left.
  • Click the “Get Pass Now” button.
    • You can select the basic pass, or the upgraded Souvenir Token package with additional Souvenir Tokens.
  • Click the green purchase button at the bottom, then follow the prompts through Steam
  • Once done, don’t forget to click Activate Item!
    • If you don’t do this immediately, you can head to your inventory and activate the pass later.

To join the Pick’Em Challenge, you need to activate your pass first. Remember to take care of that step prior to selecting your choices.

After activation, you’ll receive the Austin Major Coin for your profile. This coin is initially bronze, but why not elevate it to Silver, Gold, or even Diamond status? You can certainly do so!

Upgrading your Austin Major Coin: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond

To enhance the Austin Major Coin, you need to excel in the Pick’Em Challenge. In this challenge, you will predict which teams will win in each phase of the Austin Major. If you manage to get at least five correct predictions during every stage, you’ll garner a point towards upgrading your coin.

In this major tournament, every phase is made up of a 16-team Swiss elimination system. To make your predictions, you should choose:

* Two teams that will remain unbeaten with all three wins (3-0)
* Two teams that will end up winless with all three losses (0-3)
* Six other teams that you believe will advance with scores of either 3-1 or 3-2.

To make your choices, just drag the team’s emblem to the corresponding section on the page and click Save Picks to confirm your selections.

Simply making your picks at each stage earns you a point, so by the playoffs, if you’ve been accurate throughout, you’ll have accumulated your Gold coin as a reward. Then, for a chance to win further, you will need to continue making your selections.

  • At least 2/4 quarterfinalists;
  • At least 1/2 semifinalists, and;
  • The overall champion of the Austin Major.

1. Once the playoffs start, you can’t alter your choices – you need to predict the outcomes of the bracket ahead of time!

2. To obtain the Diamond Coin, it might be challenging, but completing the Viewer Pass will grant you the last upgrade for your coin.

How to use Souvenir Tokens from the Viewer Pass`

Every time I score a point in the Pick’Em challenge, I snag myself a Souvenir Token. These tokens can be cashed in for a Souvenir Package of my preferred map from the majors, filled with weapons sporting golden stickers representing each team that played on that very map.

After the games have been completed, navigate to the Pick’Em Challenge page and select the match to claim your Souvenir Token. You also have the option to buy extra Souvenir Tokens directly from the shop on an individual basis.
