Blake Lively’s Shocking Texts to Justin Baldoni: Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Dragon’ Past Exposed!

The prolonged dispute between actress Blake Lively and her co-star, director Justin Baldoni, is so intense that it could inspire yet another installment of the Rocky series, even by Hollywood’s high-profile feud standards.

Or, more concisely:
The ongoing feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is so dramatic it seems like a plot for another Rocky movie.

But who would be the villain?

Without holding back harsh allegations or counter-arguments, both sides are far from appearing blameless.

In the exchange of fierce accusations and equally intense denials, neither side emerges with a clean slate.

In a federal lawsuit filed in December, a woman named Lively (age 37) alleged that Baldoni engaged in strange instances of sexual misconduct during the filming of ‘It Ends With Us’, and further claimed that he organized a malicious character assassination against her.

In response to the publication of Lively’s claims, Baldoni, aged 41, chose to file a lawsuit against The New York Times. Additionally, he filed a $400 million lawsuit, accusing the actress, her publicist, and her high-profile actor husband Ryan Reynolds of defamation and extortion.

With Reynolds now ensnared in this complex web of legal disputes, it’s not just Lively and Baldoni whose actions are under scrutiny.

As a connoisseur of life’s finer aspects, I’ve often admired the charming, Canada-born romantic comedy heartthrob. His polished exterior exudes an endearing ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ persona that captivates audiences worldwide. However, peel back this gleaming veneer, and one finds a more complex character emerging – a history of fractured relationships in his wake.

Ryan’s wounded songbird

In his twenties, Reynolds relocated to Los Angeles with aspirations for a career in the entertainment industry. It was during this time that he met and began dating the renowned singer Alanis Morissette, best known for her album “Jagged Little Pill” – who is now 50 years old, sharing the same Canadian nationality as Reynolds.

In 2002, they – as Morissette describes, having a shared heritage from the Frozen Tundra – crossed paths at the birthday celebration thrown for actress Drew Barrymore on her 27th birthday.

The glamorous couple graced many a red carpet… with plenty of PDAs.

In a 2004 interview with People, Morissette appeared nearly bursting with excitement as she spoke about their intense relationship. However, certain comments made by her left fans puzzled and curious.

She expressed that he makes her feel incredibly cherished, as if they’re bouncing on a trampoline together,” she explained. “And she affectionately referred to him as her spiritual twin.

Their engagement in June 2004 felt like a glamorous, fantastical story, but they never ended up marrying. After a separation and an attempt at reconciliation, the pair announced their split in an awkward statement, asserting that they remain good friends and still hold each other in high regard.

In 2008, Morissette bared her emotions openly through the songs she penned for her seventh album, ‘Flavors of Entanglement.’ This collection, she disclosed, was a reflection of the pain from her highly-publicized separation.

Moving forward, taking it one moment at a time, I persevere. The song ‘Torch’ resonates deeply with this sentiment.

For Reynolds, it doesn’t seem to have been as much of a struggle.

In just about two months following the terminated relationship, Reynolds exchanged his singer for a genuine superstar, Scarlett Johansson, who is 40 years old and graceful.

Reynolds and Johansson didn’t display as much affectionate public displays like he did with Morissette. Instead, they made efforts to keep a low profile and avoid being photographed by the media.

People were taken aback to find out they were a couple when they announced their engagement in May 2008, and later tied the knot in September of the same year.

Johansson spoke rather casually about her strong-featured spouse, constantly providing him with backing. Her portrayal of their union appeared somewhat disillusioned – starkly different from the usual romanticized depictions often seen in Hollywood relationships.

Johansson shared with Time Out New York shortly after their first anniversary that once work is done, they typically head home and, in his own words, end up spending a few hours gazing at the wall before bedtime.

Just as with any job, it can be tough to balance your responsibilities. You strive to allocate sufficient time for your loved ones, yet the task is not easy. However, the rewards are significant and make it all worthwhile.

It became apparent that some were murmuring that Reynolds behaved as a dominating, controlling individual, who often demanded his well-known partner to put aside all her tasks and attend to him.

Johansson, insiders said, was not a fan of this behavior.

In December 2010, they decided to separate, releasing a sweet declaration that their departure from the marriage was motivated by love and goodwill.

Displaying false piety didn’t stop whispers about Reynolds being jealous of his wife’s success in her career. Notably, she had just been recognized as one of the world’s highest-earning actresses at the tender age of 25, while he was yet to achieve a major breakthrough in his career.

However, it’s worth noting that an alternative perspective suggests that his separation from Johansson coincided surprisingly well with his growing screen partnership with Lively.

In July, five months prior to their split, Reynolds was already shooting the Green Lantern film alongside his long-standing companion, Lively, marking the commencement of the project.

A server, who claims to have witnessed the duo dining together back in 2010, told The Daily Mail that although Reynolds was married then, their behavior suggested a romantic outing. If one wasn’t aware of their identities, it would appear they were an item, as they were both laughing and showing clear signs of flirtation.

So very Lively…

Penn Badgley, known for his roles in “Gossip Girl” and as a lively character, was in a relationship for three years before parting ways in September 2010. Shortly after, the romance between Reynolds and Johansson ended as well.

To put it simply, any insinuation that the end of my relationship with Blake wasn’t clear-cut made me absolutely furious. As a lifestyle expert, I value transparency and clarity above all else in personal relationships.

During a chat with Details magazine in May 2011, he stated, ‘There was neither a tale nor a controversy.’ He also criticized the media, emphasizing, ‘Neither were they present at my wedding, and they most certainly aren’t welcome in my separation.’

In the identical interview, Reynolds admitted he hadn’t imagined remarrying, but it was Lively who convinced him otherwise.

Their initial, officially recognized date took place in October 2011, approximately three months following the finalization of Ryan Reynold’s divorce from Scarlett Johansson.

In conversation during the podcast, he mentioned that they had been more like friends and companions, yet neither was exclusively involved with the other. Subsequently, he admitted they maintained a casual connection. Eventually, when they both ended up working in Boston, their close location sparked a romantic relationship, as Reynolds disclosed later on.

Back in September of 2012, I tied the knot – a decision made just under a year and a half after I had shared my reservations about remarriage in such a public forum. The grandiose event sparked quite the debate due to its location, a plantation rich in South Carolina’s history. Later on, we found ourselves issuing apologies for our choice of venue, as it was associated with the dark and painful chapter of the slave trade.

Although the initial apology didn’t set the best tone for their marriage, it seems that this partnership has flourished remarkably well. Their twin children, James and Inez, were born in 2016, followed by another daughter, Betty, in 2019. Most recently, they welcomed a son named Olin into their family in 2023.

After thirteen years and having four kids together, it can be reasonably assumed that Lively understands Reynolds just as well, or perhaps even better, than any other person does.

It’s interesting to point out that some messages claiming to be from Lively suggest she refers to Reynolds and Swift as her “dragons,” while she sees herself as the character “Khaleesi” from the Game of Thrones series.

Describing Reynolds as ‘dragon-like’, though far from complimentary, could possibly resonate with some of his former sweethearts due to his fiery temperament and perceived greed for affection.
