Blake Lively’s Plunging White Gown: A Red Carpet Sensation
On Sunday in New York City, all attention was on me as I made my way to the exclusive screening of my forthcoming film, Another Simple Favor, alongside my partner Ryan Reynolds. It was a moment I couldn’t help but feel the spotlight on myself.
In a striking white dress that accentuated her every curve, the 37-year-old actress from Gossip Girl drew eyes everywhere, as the gown’s deep neckline showcased her hourglass silhouette beautifully.
She adorned the long gown, boasting a crisscross pattern on the bodice extending to her waist, with eye-catching earrings and multiple shimmery pink bracelets by Lorraine Schwartz.
On that special event, the actress styled her long, golden hair in soft, romantic curls, applied a subtle nude lip gloss, and sported a stylish, glamorous makeup ensemble.
Her husband, aged 48, was there with her, perfectly embodying the supportive spouse. On the red carpet, they were a pair, him in a gray suit and brown shoes.
The duo seemed quite elated after their soccer team, Wrexham AFC, won a significant match over the weekend.
This past weekend, Wrexham AFC’s football team secured an unprecedented third consecutive promotion, moving them up to the Championship.
After a recent affectionate appearance together, this event follows the criticism Lively faced due to her speech at the Time100 Gala held on Thursday evening, which received broad condemnation.
On Thursdays evening, Ryan joined his spouse at the event hosted by Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, where she received recognition as one of the year’s most impactful individuals featured in the magazine.
In her speech, Blake alluded to her legal war with former co-star
while revealing her mother’s past assault by a ‘work acquaintance.’
She mentioned that there’s a lot she wants to discuss regarding the past two years of her life, but this wasn’t the appropriate setting for it, alluding to her current legal dispute with Baldoni, who denies accusations of sexual harassment that she made against him.
Instead, she decided to speak about ‘the feeling of being a woman who has a voice today.’

Blake revealed that her mother, Willie Elaine McAlpin, had the greatest impact on her life. This remarkable woman endured the heinous act that is considered the worst crime against a woman.
She mentioned that her mother had not received justice from a coworker who tried to harm her when she was a mother of three small children, long before the speaker was born.
I’d like to share a remarkable story. As Blake mentioned, it was a woman, sharing a similar experience, whom my mother heard on the radio, that she believes saved my life.
Through vivid and heart-wrenching narration, the woman recounted her harrowing escape tale. It was this account that moved my mother beyond fear and unjust embarrassment, allowing her to stay vigilant and ultimately survive. A life was saved by a woman whose identity remains unknown to her.
She subsequently described womanhood as an unspoken agreement where we individually demonstrate to others the means of endurance, be it physically or spiritually.
We conceal this truth from our daughters as they play dress-up, but someday we have to disclose that their safety is not guaranteed at school, at home, in parking lots, or online – anywhere they are present, whether physically, emotionally, or professionally. The harsh reality is that they may not be the princesses they dream of being.
Blake described the ‘strength of women’s victory’ as an ‘inherent human entitlement’, further emphasizing, ‘Always remember, a woman’s capacity for bearing hardship should never be undervalued.’

In my heartfelt gratitude, I too acknowledge Ryan’s contributions. Beyond him, I extend my thanks to every noble soul, such as my loving spouse, who demonstrates kindness and goodness even when unseen.
However, viewers found Blake’s speech underwhelming, criticizing it on social media as a supposed public relations tactic, using her mother’s distress in the midst of her continuing dispute with Baldoni.
Many viewers spoke out against the actress, as they felt she exploited her mother’s struggles in her speech, despite not addressing domestic violence during the promotion of “It Ends With Us,” a film that depicts an abusive relationship and was directed by and co-starred Baldoni.
It seems this person is expressing surprise that someone might be using their mother’s experiences with SA (Sociopathic Antisocial behavior) to appear more likable, but in August they did not speak up about DV (Domestic Violence) when promoting a film about the subject. That’s quite intriguing…
In simpler and more conversational terms: ‘During her Time100 speech, Blake Lively shared that her mother is a survivor of rape – a move some people think was done to connect with survivors of sexual assault in promoting her work. However, it’s puzzling that she struggled to market a film about domestic violence. One might wonder what her future achievements could be, perhaps even winning the Nobel Peace Prize?’ Another commentator added.
Why didn’t she deliver these speeches while promoting the movie? Instead, she was advertising alcohol and naming drinks after the characters. I can’t comprehend why they continue to provide her with a stage.
Someone asked, ‘Just because my mother has suffered, does that mean I understand her pain too? Why should I share her story?'” This version aims to maintain the original meaning while using a more natural and easier-to-read language.
In another part of her address, Blake talked about being recognized at a time when anger appears to be the most prized asset. It seems rebellious to gather and rejoice in the goodness that exists worldwide instead.
In terms of being regarded as influential, she stated, “The way we wield influence is significant. It’s about who and what we advocate for, and what we choose to remain silent on, what we profit from versus what we genuinely embody, that truly counts.
