Blake Lively’s personal trainer ‘accused of being spy’ by It Ends With Us’ Justin Baldoni, lawsuit claims

As a dedicated follower of Hollywood news, I find myself deeply troubled by the latest developments surrounding the production of “It Ends with Us.” Having spent years immersed in the industry, I have seen many instances where power dynamics can lead to unacceptable behavior, but this story seems particularly egregious.

Blake Lively’s allegations against Justin Baldoni are shocking and distressing. If true, his actions towards her during production were nothing short of reprehensible. The body-shaming, the deception, and the manipulation are unacceptable in any workplace, let alone a film set.

Blake Lively mentions that Justin Baldoni told her he believed her set trainer on “It Ends with Us” was acting as a secret agent or informer for her.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, the 37-year-old individual stated that Baldoni, aged 40, had been concealing his lower back pain as a subtle way to voice his concerns about the issue on set to the film crew. This revelation was made public by Newsweek following their examination of documents related to the civil rights complaint, which was submitted in California on December 20.

In a lengthy court filing, the energetic woman who shares four children with Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds (aged 48) stated that Mr. Baldoni called her fitness coach a “snoop” and attempted to spread rumors to give the impression that his worries about his lower back were driven by something more than just that.

In the romantic drama, Lively (who portrayed Lily Bloom alongside Baldoni as Ryle Kincaid) shared that Baldoni voiced his concerns with their trainer through a string of text messages sent to the film’s crew members.

In the report, it was stated that Lively did not explicitly identify the particular fitness instructor in her grievance submitted to the California Civil Rights Department.

DailyMail.com has attempted to get a response from the representatives of both Lively and Baldoni regarding the recent updates in this evolving tale.

In the submitted documents, the former Gossip Girl actor was accused by someone of making unwanted sexual advances towards them, and among other things, criticizing their physical appearance (body shaming) while filming the movie.

Baldoni stated that the personal trainer advised Lively to lose weight for the movie within less than four months of delivering her fourth child, Olin, as mentioned by Lively in her court documents.

In the filing, Lively stated that she felt deeply embarrassed when she discovered that Baldoni had arranged a meeting with the trainer without her consent, implying that he expected her to reduce her weight within two weeks.

Regarding the mention of back pain, Lively stated that Baldoni informed the trainer he was worried about having to lift her during a movie scene due to his concern, yet no such lifting scene was written in the script.

In the lawsuit, Lively claimed that Baldoni was dishonest about various aspects connected to her body image, stating that she frequently felt embarrassed about her physique.

On one occasion, she claimed that he disguised a referral to a weight loss specialist as advice from an expert on probiotics, after she contracted strep throat. This was mentioned in a report by E! News following their examination of the complaint.

In the lawsuit, it was stated by Lively’s legal representatives that Baldoni often undermined her (Lively) through indirect means by commenting negatively on her appearance and weight.

Baldoni and his close colleagues collaborated in organizing a harmful public smear campaign aimed at tarnishing her reputation, according to Lively’s statement in the lawsuit.

The next day after filing the complaint, Lively expressed to The New York Times her hope that her legal action would expose the hidden, harmful retaliation strategies against those speaking out about misconduct and provide protection for others potentially facing similar situations.

Baldoni has denied all of the claims against him in Lively’s legal filing.

Ever since I lodged that complaint, I’ve encountered several professional repercussions. For instance, I found myself on the receiving end of a lawsuit from a past representative. Moreover, the prestigious agency, WME, which also represents Lively and Reynolds, decided to part ways with me as well.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when “It Ends with Us,” featuring the talented Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Brandon Sklenar, and Kevin McKidd, graced our movie screens on August 9. The film was an instant hit among audiences, leaving us all captivated by its compelling storyline and exceptional performances.

The movie, based on the 2016 novel by Colleen Hoover, raked in $148 million at the U.S. box office, and a total of $350 million worldwide, as reported by Box Office Mojo.
